 My feelings are that (being a fellow "GEM-ini" who also had success at a young age, and lusted for responsibility and achievements.) The "super-star" will become more "human" a he realises the most beautiful day of playing the game at the top level are being counted..I feel Stevie could play on for many seasons, but the approaching reality wont be lost on him, and he will want to make the most of that, and every aspect of his life , as one of the "lads" I wish you everything you wish for yourself, n19, ..and even 20 & 21..and a couple of Champions leagues too before you relinquish your playing crown, BUT dont be in a hurry to stop these will always be your BEST days NO matter if you " rule the world " thereafter... be well!

ChriS SmiTH i cant forget 77 either..I was on the old standing Kop on the last day when we won the league and at the final..we came close to the first "dream treble" that year.. I remember that year, a REd writing a poem..

      That was a truly amazing season. It was a kind of awakening for me. I had the privilege of seeing us beat Man City 2-1 fromthe paddock. I stood on a stool I think. Liverpool went from rivals of Leeds / Derby COunty to world power. One of th      e best things I remember was the power of the Kop that year. Average crowds of 47,000 ringing to "Come on ye mighty reds". Liverpool's growth coincided with my growth from nipper to youth, music, guitars, rock n roll.

    • ChriS SmiTH tx for that Quarry, nice stuff...my own "realisation" was 3 years earlier at wembley in 74 when was a lad we demolished the "fancied" geordies and supermac was in tommo's back pocket.(sang YNWA in the middle of the game!) wembley bounced...Emlyn, my hero charging and Keegan finishing off an elongated "pass & move" for 3-0 that barca would be envious of..we arrived ..a combination of British, Shanks ass and move and "continental footy" for me that game (not only for the significance of Shanks last game) was the legacy that was relaised on the "world stage" 3 years later 77 in Rome..

 My "extreme story of 25.5.05..

I was living in the french/german region of the rhine river frontier , and without going into detail was having a "go" at the system, demos, revealing corruption by german "beamte" and a local politician etc on a free radio station, that was situated on the "german side" - the Thursday before Istanbul, I was stil planning to go to the game and have a "holiday" that week as 2 days before was also my birthday, and I had arrange d to meet my "estranged" daughter with her german mother, in a park near the "free radio" station, instead half a dozen plain clothes bizzies arrived (in the kiddles playground) and hauled me away for "helping the police with enquiries" - what they called investigative detention - what I called a violation of my rights to expose injustice! )

anyway…the next few days they kept me in "transit" where there wasn’t even a radio, and by Monday before the game I was denied outside contact and of course CERTAIN, I would miss the match..as I knew from my previous "activism" that it took the germans (deliberately) 3-6 months to "process" those who complain..and I complained..on a great scale..




Tuesday came, and after a day's "isolation" sweating on not even seeing or hearing the big match, they transferred me to a "colditz" style deportation building near the swizz border (as the "bus" passed certain signs I was reminded of Steve McQueen, riding around this hilly area on his motor bike in "the great escape"..surreal! …

WEDNESDAY 25.5.05; the day of THE match of the century; in the ONE hour exercise period (of 24hrs) that a man U fan from London (obviously) had a telly, so I managed to have words with him, on the way back to my " accomodation" (no bigger than the average bathroom) where I shared with an italian guy (who happened to be accused of murder!) I speak Italian, it helped! ..(no other brits in this place, and no outside/consulate contact yet) …

Luckily, we had an open door period for showers, and the TV was smuggled in (only a small screen..but..) well we all know what happened in the game , the drama, and memories which will stay in my mind and Lfc heart and my RED soul forever..a "funny thing" was...At half time the Italian "room-mate" who didn’t like Milan, luckily, said to me "you will win this"…and the "tradition" of banging doors when a goal was scored, became all mine in the 2nd half (there were a number of Italians & AC Milan sympathisers there) …I was made up, and some time late "escaped" when a journalist found out about my detention..but that’s another longer story,. ;)

Its an "Appeal" on behalf of other REdS…..

Dear Karen,

..Although I am somwhat "envious" of the position of "chair" ..I would have loved to have a go at that - sparks would fly..and yet I really and truly doubt if any one of that group have the knowledge and courage to challenge FSG/Lfc Direction on an "equal basis" (IF NEED BE) -I wont bang on about Supporters shares - my reason for contacting you now, and I am sure you are inundated with people who "want to know you" right now, other than the obvious relationship to the great man..

I have organised several "Balkan REdS" meetings ..in BAR, ("Monty") , sKOPje (Mac.) Stara Pazova (Serbia) and Tuzla (Bosnia-H) ..with various degrees of success, although for me any opportunity to get ANY RedS together from different geo/ethnic origins in this region, with its volatile history, is a "success"…

The "passion" is as high at least as most match going fans, despite the fact that 99% have never been the the "Anfield Mecca" or even seen an Lfc game live (you probably experienced this in Athens with their fan club) ..and with the average income being 200/300e p/month, with some requiring VISAs that wont be granted by UK, some being unemployed, or students living on pennies, their chances of seeing a home game are remote. Especially without the Europa league involvement.

AS luck would have it, there MAY be 2, 3 or even 4 Lfc PLAYERS in the English squad coming to Montenegro ("Monty") in October for a 2012 qualification match…and as none of the local fan groups have been granted "officlal status" so far, ANY appeals for player contact by them (or indeed by myself, who has a long term standing argument with the LFC "office") will likely be ignored.

This may seem cheeky at this time, but , considering you have good contact with the club, you might be able, if not to approach them, point us in the correct direction to obtain, even a "five minute audience" with whichever Lfc players comes to Podgorica, probably at the team hotel. The local REdS, (and even then not all can get time off to be there, so we are talking about a SMALL group of Fans), would be made up! If this can be done, without too much "fuss".

Personally, I wont attend, as I am simultaneously organising "LetS-BE-FAIR" a not - for - profit initiative (website "under construction" ; http://www.ursun.net/LetS-BFAIR_LAUNCH_TOO.htm
 despite bugs in my system).. And my many challenges and complaints directly at Lfc or via SoS have caused me to be seen as "trouble" and I don’t want the locals (many young, poor, and some sick) to suffer from my own chosen "stance". (http://www.ursun.net/MyLFCLUB_2.htm )

I would (and they certainly would) appreciate any real assistance you feel able to give, in the circumstances

25th MAY 05....the RED Magic & the Miracle.....in Istanbul..

25th May 2005! enough said? ... 
 "the miracle in Istanbul" best final in history of Footy! ; RED magic, it was in the Stars!! remains fresh in the memory, in my LFc heart and deep in my RED soul...Fate, destiny, call it what U want OUR name was on number 5 in 05! on 25.05.05!...


 
got a feeling its all coming back, still work to be done, supporters need to be 100% (and not be complacent about FSG either, but WE (the "RED holy trinity" Kenny, Team and SUPPORTers) can bring back the best times of 20 odd years ago, I am convinced of that..)

N.b. "Koko" (A.M.) had quickly become someone I started to trust she had "crashed" at my place we had got fairly drunk together, been out to dinner a couple of times, played pool, (also with her brother Milan and his girlfriend Ivana went bowling, and taught cooking and given tips on time management and organisation…in short I had "given a lot" and hoped that she (truly) cares


I had been in Liverpool, and "koko" had pushed me to come back to "Monty"…then she decided to chase after a married serbian guy…she had met in Trieste seminar (he had recommended her for a project in India ..which "impressed" her..

So I am back in kept my promise, but would she be  "tired" to party on

I" got back @06h this morn..remember when U wrote last time "dont forget to come back" ? ;) I now write the same to U,or (koko) do I have to make party alone? C. (sms)

You were insensitive last weekend..and one of the last things you made a POINT of telling me the last (great) time we met was that you were NOT going to that "entrepreneurship fair" ,,which you had been "struggling with" ..YOU KNOW , and U tried to tell me recently it depended on colleagues , but that was just "spin" …

Don’t try to "spin" me, because U will lose the one person who you CAN trust ..I can be everything…or nothing ..

I was angry , because I "hurried" back to Pg, 2 nights travelling with little sleep, because you TOLD me that U wanted me back..(*"cant wait to see you, ChriS" ) then YOU insult US, by telling me at the LATEST moment on Tuesday evening (too late for US to discuss) that you decided to go chasing "Slobo2" a married man, which you know in your heart to be "wrong"

…I did such things in my "first life", its not "stupid" its simply wrong, you don’t know who else may get hurt apart from yourself..AND OUR "soul" relation..

You did NOT, as agreed, USE the time of my absence to really examine the project and all the stuff I sent you,..and...

...I had made EVERY effort to keep in touch with you when I was in Lp, and got little response, then on Wednesday night , when you were travelling across Serbia ,so was I, in the opposite direction, to "home"  (you avoided this discussion before I left) but U couldn’t even be bothered to phone me back, (when I asked you "why?" your terse response was "why what"!! = arrogant and cold! not the "Ana" either of us want U to be?)

When , one day, maybe when I am no longer on this planet, you realise what I give you now (and U DON’T fully "understand" yet) you will appreciate what I am telling U now..

WE could and SHOULD have discussed the "LetS Be FAIR" project and our personal relations yesterday, but you "forgot" about it, and chose to be gone, IF you want to be involved ?...then YOU must be FAIR , to me , to the project (potentially THE most important of your life and for your community) and your self!

I trusted you with my life , you are able to trust me to protect your life..so don’t devalue it, especially don’t risk losing me/us, on my birthday!

Fab was early, and I was pleased about that and he was pleased with the chicken/pasta that we had SLOWLY prapared, with my "unusual techniques" (Jamie , eat yr heart out , son!, ha ha ha ..) then TaT & HD  Arrived and immediately Helen started talking with Fab, sothat seemed OK, , but no dancing, until I got styarted with Ana, when her brother milan & Ivana, I Danced with Ana and a bit with Ivana  (happy girl), but I don’t think he was so pleased about he "closeness")

About midnight I walked  Tat and Helen to their car, Then Milan and Ivana left
So there was only Fab. And Ana, (then strange she wouldn’t dance to "Iris" (goo goo dolls)..which she saiud was MY song...)

Her sister (who was also invited called ) Rena etc preferred to drink in park than at my b-day party??? Why??? Ana didn’t answer….then said they are waiting at the main road (about 500 metres across the DARK estate) I said ok I will walk, but questioned why her sister didn’t want to come here, I was a bit drunk, but just annoyed that the "atmosphere" suddenly went "cold" without reason...

i'm sorry she ruined your party... sometimes things just don't go like we wanted... and some good news: i'm in contact with one frend (he organised us to go to wiena 2 years ago) and we agreed that it will be the best to organise something in september because during the sommer people go to vacation :) but they maybeee will not like "the Balkan...", it's still a big aversion for our neighbors because of the war. the irony is that frend is a spurs fan, but he did more than anyone for croatian reds, so... respect :)

well, you shouldn't blame yourself. you tried, you fought for something, you cared... she didn't understand, sometimes loving/caring is too much. shame on her :) fighting for something or someone isn't something wrong, if you didn't do that you would always ask questions: what would be if i tryed...? leave that behind and "pass and move" ;) or you can hoof, everything is right :)) we didn't agree place, town... nothing. we'll see where will be the most people interesting to come, but my guess would be somewhere in Slavonija. i'll keep you informed. she's done some tests these days, have some bacteria but in monday she have to go to doctor and than we'll know more. but now, our team is first, so c'mon lads!! and spurs: f*** of! :)

3 players out b4 the game startede; Glenn, Maxi & andy..although we started well , but formation & first half disrupted by injuries to Jay and Carra , much better effort in the 2nd half, missed a few chances but as spurs won, its a season without europe, but that may be the chance to have a 100% "go" at the League, whatever will be , will be!

My last 3 birthdays , have been "spolied" by women, Josee , who freaked out, after I had relucatantly forgiven her for all her "crimes"! (because someone gave me a match ticket for my birthday..and she had 2 wait for me ) …Jelena , who was my "girl Friday" got drunk and F***ed up the RedS party in Bar, arguing with her "best friend" aboiut a guy.. And last w/end …"koko" broke her promises and then decided to rush off..without explanation, but this tiem it was ME that "exploded" and told HER to "F*** off!... 99.9 % of Women today are selfish and just use men, they are like the men of the 80's ..the feminist "victims" are now the "users"..
