I feel the REdNET selection that gave the nod to Clyne over Trent (mainly to assist "CB new boy" Joe defensively was justified as Trent put 3 crosses into touch, so unlike his usual style, and I wondered if the return of Clyne and the pre-season form of Comacho had got to him, espcially after a clunsy perhaps harsh yellow card early on, , AA almost made up for it with an excellent free kick, which required an equally good save 

....Mo got his goal, missed a couple and yet worried the wham defence without really showing his best (you could see by his face when subbed that he knows that)

 ... Gomez also slotted in well alongside VVD








 leaving AB with a couple of routine saves to make and Robbo was on form causing at least 2 of the goals ...

Keita looked very sharp and at home in the "8" shirt, 










but surely Milly was MOtM ? like a bandaged warrior wanting to show that he isnt going to give up his midfield selection easily,

Hendo may have trouble gettong back there, and right now Fab , injured, is arguably 3rd choice "Holding"  James wasnt "holding' he was everywhere, he and Robbo add such an edge to this team, Gini too looked sharp except in the opponents box, and might have had a hatrick on another day..

Mane looked like a John Barnes impersonator several times during the match , slowing the ball down , only to race away from the defender with electric pace, 2 goals for Sadio, the first one made by Robbo and Mily, although the 2nd looked wll offside, it makes a change for a controversial decision to go in favout of the REdS ... 

I wasnt too hAPPY that JK made a "negative" sub takign off Firm. for Hendo , I really think that often offered initiative to oppenents - however wham looked beaten alraedy by then, and rarely worried the home defence...

...Mane & Mo made way late on for the "new SAS" (?) = Shaq/Studge Attack. who seem to have bonded well during the pre-season with the latter making it FOUR with his first touch from a diverted corner....

albeit only one game into the season but a nice position to be in..TOP!  hopefully the REdS will maintain it... the squad, with Lalla & once Fab, Dejan and co return from injury ( and JK adds the fringe youth players...  ) should be strong enough this season, to "GO for it"..

NO excuses..!
