Following on ...from 1-0 .. enough has been said about the game at Anfield v Brighton (previewed in our previous 2018/08/rednet-bootroom-opinion-managing.html) .............

Some of the REds football was good to watch , but the finishing not, Mo included, although he got the goal that mattered, should have had 3, had to come deep for the ball, because the brighton team came from beating the mancs last week hoping to steal a result with only 1 attacker allowed to pass the half way line..Much will be made of this narrow win by "pundits & experts & would-be journos" on social media etc ... 22 attempts with only 6 shots on target at Anfield ?
I forgive the lads, they were off colour yesterday,, perhaps too much patience and complications in the build up however, still managed to come close with 3 good saves and Trent hitting the bar,
Mane , who i expected to continue his fiorm, was unsurprisingly subbed , but JK might have done a like for like and rested Milly and given Shaq half an hour instead of Mane, Firmino looked more in touch than in the first 2 games and made the assist..
The Lfc defence looked tight, VVD and Joe not doing much wrong , with Trent & Robbo winging it as much as possible through the congestion caused by FIVE away midfielders crowding their space.. NK was also finding it hard to come through the packed midfield and was subbed too..
Brighton defended in numbers , (sure they parked it, but also broke well looking to snatch a goal, or from a corner or free kick move, looked comfortable on the ball) made it a tougher game than most expected, I laughed when I see Lfc fans predicting 4-5,,6 ot 7-0 ..i had a feeling brighton would make this tough...
Studge looked sharp for his cameo.. and although AB made important saves , he did a poor impersonation of Karius/Mignolet that most REdS wont want to see again, luckily it didnt cost a goal...
all in all, three points were achieved , JK and the players will know that the Team will have to be sharper and more effective in games like this to win the 3 points ..however lets enjoy being top odf the table, and take ONE GAME AT A TIME!
MY MotM ; Gini Wijnaldum, worked hard, looked comfortable on the ball, passing and positioning as good as anyone..

apart from a narrow loss in the opening match at OT, leicester have been doing well, the REDS will need to be on best form to take the 3 points and stay on top of the table..

Jk claims that the side is not yet "match fit" i would suggest that the game the previous Monday took a bit out of the players too, the echo hacks made no strong argument for change...maybe Hendo for Milly, maybe Shaq for Mane, maybe Lallana, for NK .. maybe , maybe,...
is it bet to prevent than to cure, yes , ..but on the other side , the current 11 have seen 3 games through without conceding, that deserves some loyalty, and i am inclined to think we have a long season ahead for the others to play apart in.. .. surely Jk will see how fersh the 11 look in training friday, a whole week between games ...should ,make a difference..

we know there is a MASSIVE "temptation" to kick the mancs , when they are down,,(0-3 at OT v spurs!) ..,BUT, (i would have preferred a draw ) we have more . important rivals to beat this season at home , away and in Europe...
i hope supporters just focus on that SUPPORTING our Team ... one game at a time..as we used to do, when we were always Champions..

we (Liverpool Football club) were virtually built from a lost 2nd division outfit to a global entity, world famous, by a SOCIALIST , not a tory, not a capitalist , not a businessman, Shanks was truly a man OF the people , for the people and LOVED by OUR People, until the 1980s when we lost him and the soul of LIVERPOOL football club, it may seem "spiritual" but to me &"character"there is no coincidence that Shanks left this planet in that decade, when "capitalism won" "greed is great" money rules and by the beginning of the decade the media controlled premiere league was in formation. Hysel & Hillsborough were the "H-bombs" that eroded also the feel good atmosphere & "character" of our club, shirt sponsors and money men sticking their fingers into the Liverpool global "pie"

Neil (oh Rich buy a sense of humour). .. so u think u have me "sorted" ?? i complain that he USA have the most hypocritical (correct spelling Spencer !) REGIME in the world! and affects the love of my life ; Football and especially Liverpool - is probably too much to expect u to understand what Shanks did, inside and ouside of he club, or to understand OUR true socialism (banned in USA) that we had ,Not exclusive to our football club , but simply he way of caring and sharing of a community without material objective yet still enjoying and striving to win against the odds ,
Liverpool was a target during war and in "peace" first as a port = german bombers, then by tory governmemt (thacher is still hated, not only because of Hillsborough) to destroy unions , any form of socialism, and ensure almost fifty percent unemployment, (and our enemies still sing "sign on " 30 years later)
the capitalism USA spread like a disease has failed , the US led banking system failed, time and again (and is rescued by the masses!) H enry failed also, ( 1 2nd class trophy in 6 seasons and too many changes in staff) and yet the illusion goes on... and needs alernative opinion to balance he constant propaganda of Lfc media... btw I have lived most of my life abroad, but I have and will always maintain and campaign for Shanks original and true LIVERPOOL way... not any infestor nor any Fb groupie will stop me,! yes thats my "agenda" ...! now JustinE u can remove me...because as Groucho once said " I never want to be in a club that would allow me in"
