manciteh fraud club   V LIVERPOOL
funny how the manciteh fraud club scandal has disappeared ,  many fans dont care , it seems about injustice, as long as their team wins,.. corruption is the fault of the society,,,you get what you deserve..

thursday 3rd January 2019

.....................    I said in a previous game that JK had to be like Rafa, well in this one,  i suggst Shanks would say...  "they're nothing"  a load of hot air and mancarrogance..
REMEMBER>>

I wish everyone to play this down, its just another game with 3 points (that may be worth six at the end) in the offing...
______________
remind them how the REdS went there in "champions league"  when Mo & Firm increased the aggregate win to 5-1?  ...
a result is required , but the "manciteh fraud club" will be told by Pep they HAVE to win it.. they went to Anfield for a point...

for me the REdS can line up as strong as they like ; having had 4 days to prepare, just a short bus ride down the motorway...

how about ;
                                                AB
Milly or Clyne   Dejan    VVD

ChRiS> Whilst I truly believe, since day one, that the REdS can win ("easier" would be the wrong word) at theirs , .. it would be be GREAT to secure another 3 points .. also at their expense... if... JK went there and LIVERPOOL got a "comfortable" 0-0 (apart from my heart rate) it might feel just as destructive to manc morale...

Gini playing so well, important

_______________(media SpL - edited by CRS) ____Liverpool have conceded only eight goals in their 20 league games to date - half as many as city, their closest challengers along with Chelsea. They lead the way with 12 clean sheets and have yet to concede more than one in a match.
That is despite facing more shots on target than city, 54 to 51. The impressive Alisson Becker has averaged 2.3 saves per match, compared to city goalkeeper Ederson's 1.8.
They must contain city's 54-goal attack, with Sergio Aguero and Raheem Sterling on nine goals apiece and six city players having scored five or more.
Liverpool's 13-goal talisman Mo Salah provides the main threat to City's miserly defence, who have eight clean sheets in the league but 13 in all competitions. (CRS: Firm back in form though,.,,. and MANE due to turn it on ..still to revenge that red card of last season?)
The latter figure is just one fewer than the Reds but includes a cup tie against League One Oxford and both Champions League games against Shakhtar Donetsk, as well as an extra game in the form of the Community Shield._____It is no shock the two teams were the top performers in 2018's league action, but the surprise comes from seeing them level on points for the calendar year.
City won the 2017-18 title by 19 points from second-placed Manchester United, with Liverpool 25 off the pace in fourth.
The Reds, though, won 10 of their 17 league games after the turn of the year and have taken 54 points from a possible 60 this season to match City's haul of 88 in 2018_____

The first of ANOTHER 2 big games in the coming days, v arse-nal on saturday then at "manciteh fraud club" next thursday (!) 3 rd January, this schedule is sometimes ridiculous, recall JK moaing about it in the last 2 seasons, when Lfc had so many gaes in December/January, but then only 3 in Febuary, mind you this season LIVERPOOL will again be in champions league, at least for another round, its interesting to see what the line up may be v arse=nal..

I would be tempted to rest Mo who has played nearly every game, (although is in good form) and JK gave Clyne a few minutes v the geordies on boxing day, maybe in case Robbo needs a pause,  surely JK will want to take his first team to the etiad, but the london side has also been in good form in recent weeks.. the REDS must keep their focus and , I might be inclined to propose..

Liverpool v arsenal (1730 GMT, ) edited by CRS
The last time Liverpool beat Newcastle 4-0 during the festive period, they played arsenal less than a month later, winning 2-0, before winning the first division title that season (1987/88). So a colleague, and Reds fan, at Sporting Life HQ informs me.
That omen, along with title number 19 in 2019?
It is funny how these things line up in football and the red half of Merseyside will start to believe even more with a win against top-four contenders arsenal on Saturday.
LIVERPOOL  are six points clear of second-placed Tottenham and the next week could see them lose that lead or start the year in style. After a tough clash with the Gunners, the Reds are away (at manciteh fraud club) on Thursday, a huge match even at this stage of the season.
The good times could be on their way back for the Gunners though, with positive signs of better things to come under Unai Emery. The Spaniard has a long way to go, but he has the north Londoners playing some good football and they are in the hunt for a top four finish.
These sides drew 1-1 in the reverse fixture at the Emirates in November, while both matches last term produced 10 goals in total, and it promises to be an exciting Saturday evening encounter.
With absolutely no influence from the aforementioned colleague, the Reds can make another title statement with a clean sheet here. Having  sacrificed a little style for substance this year,  taking less risks after going ahead and their defensive record shows that - impressively conceding just seven goals all season. A loss could be possible at City next week, but a win here will give them added confidence and breathing room going to the Etihad.
Mo appears to have found his shooting boots again of late and has attempted 12 shots in his last four games. He certainly knows where the goal is, so we are hoping he tests Bernd Leno and gets a couple on target here. Gabonese forward Aubameyang, meanwhile, has had 14 shots in his last four appearances, scoring thre

Opta facts

  • This will be the 227th meeting between these two teams in all competitions, with Liverpool winning 86 times to Arsenal’s 79 (61 draws).
  • Arsenal are without a win in their last five trips to Anfield to face Liverpool in the Premier League (D2 L3), conceding two or more goals in each match (17 in total).
  • Liverpool have gone seven games unbeaten against Arsenal in all competitions (W3 D4) – they last embarked upon a longer such run in February 2000 (14 games).
  • There have been 149 goals in Premier League matches between Liverpool and Arsenal – only four fixtures have reached 150+ goals in the competition (Arsenal/Everton, Liverpool/Spurs, Chelsea/Spurs and Arsenal/Spurs).
  • Arsenal have scored more goals from outside the box than any other Premier League side this season (9), while Liverpool are the only team yet to concede such a goal in 2018-19.
  • Arsenal have won just one of their last 12 Premier League away games against sides starting the day top of the table (2-1 vs Chelsea in November 2008), losing the last six in a row by an aggregate score of 2-17.
  • Liverpool have conceded just seven goals in their 19 Premier League games this season, and a clean sheet here will see a record for fewest goals conceded after 20 English top-flight games.
  • Liverpool are unbeaten in 30 Premier League home games, their longest such run since a run of 31 between December 2007 and August 2009.
  • Liverpool’s Roberto Firmino has been directly involved in eight goals in his last six Premier League games against Arsenal (5 goals, 3 assists). Only Robbie Fowler (9) has netted more Premier League goals against Arsenal for Liverpool than Firmino (5).
  • Arsenal’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is the top scorer in the Premier League this season with 13 goals, with the Gabonese international scoring six in his last eight away from home.
  • Arsenal’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette have combined for six Premier League goals since the former's debut in the competition – no other duo have combined for more in that time.

Liverpool v newcastle

OUR Rafa returned to his local stadium again, and despite the newcastle players keeping the score to 1-0 at half time, and a claim by some pundits that the 2nd (pen) was a bit "soft"  Shq and Fab late on, gave the REdS a comfortable 4-0 scoreline..to take LIVERPOOL 6 points clear, always being reminded a
that this club are the only one (in 09 & '14 NOT to go on and  take the title after being top at the end of the calendar year...we shall see..

REdNET (bootroom) update ; after escaping the wolves ; we welcome OUR RAFA & the geordies

LIVERPOOL
v newcastle

..and OUR RAFA...

It always seems strange to me, having met the man, watched his training methods in the swiss alps , met him on a bus outside Rotterdam airport , and attended his presentation about the "miracle of Istanbul"  .. when he is in charge of an opposing side, and....

Added to that (and of  course an element of all modern fan groups is unsavoury) that the geordies are fairly close to scousers in their general mentality ...

and my first experience of them came when I went to my first cup final in 1974 , after a 3-0 battering in Shanks last competitive game as manager of Liverpool, several geordies coming up to me, outside wembley , and shook my hand in congratulations..

The warmth of putting down the man u hordes has still not left most true REdS (see pundits ANAL ysis  link , or Robbie & co link  or more links & also OUR comments at
/2018/12/rednet-update-liverpool-v-lesser-manc. ) ... I dont like to see Dejan being headlined; talking about "unbeaten season" however..the team goes on..and goes again

wolves 0 LIVERPOOL

 almost instant match reaction...

Mo & VVD

this may also seem strange... but I would argue that the game that put th REdS 4 points clear of "acclaimed "runaway leaders manciteh fraud club"  was probably the WORSE league performance of the season...
\
mind you, a) the ref did nothing to protect LIVERPOOL players from various physical assaults, especially on Naby ...NK got hit 3 times withinabout 10 minutes and it was no surprise he was subbed...

I put him in my proposed selection BUT,, he , Fab and Firm, and to an extent Mane looked like they wanted to be anywhere else what on a an overgrown grass field in wolverhampton tonight..

b) every pass in the Lfc half got slowed down, inviting the wolves ...had the hone side had a decent striker I am convinced the "Dejan we can go unbeaten" campaign would have been annulled

Robbo looked like he had never played for the team before..

However , have to give some credit to the wolves side who allowed him no room to scamper down the left and rhey won far too many of the first & 2nd balls , half time stats showed they were in front of lfc in the attempts...

Mo slotted in a simple move between Fab & Mane, and thats probably what was wrong. on a wet , long grass pitch the away team over complicated moves, Mo arguably could have had another hat trick by simply making an early connection instead of another touch inside their box..

hard to criticise when the REdS go 4 points ahead at the top, but many of our supporters have been here before ..and in 09, and "14 - the squad did not finish the jib, however..

if there is a sign of champions = its getting ANOTHER 3 points without hitting best form...away on a wet night at fancied wolves...

good to see Lalla back in action, sad to see NK injured... nice to see Trent in the crowd..

I have excellent memories of winning a title at wolves in 76 ...
in another 6 months we will know if LIVERPOOL win the "premiere league marathon" ..

oh and please dont BOTHER to post transfer rumours etc on any of our groups. we are only interested in the next games;  Newcastle ,  Arse nal and...that other little manchester groups of cheats..

on to boxing day!
\
p.s seems to have gone over the heads of a lot of lfc fan nies... Conar Coady, rejected by Jk  (Lfc/fsg) ?

is playing CB for a premiere side that is in the top half of the league ,,

well done son...

REdNET bootroom update REVIEW &....

A coincidental LINK ... My earliest memory of wolves was when LIVERPOOL signed Alun Evans .then the most expensive teenager signing on record , i was a boy and Alun joined ("Crazy Horse" ) Emlyn as my "hero"  I have somewhere in my old prog. collection a match programme where Evans scored 2 on his return to Molineux  with a REdS team that WON 0-6 at Molineux ..(wolverhampton)
https://www.lfchistory.net/SeasonArchive/Game/473
this may well be another tough away fixture..but...
... IF Mo & co convert some more of the 36 attempts the team made on the manu goal sunday ...i would be pleasantly....

..MADE UP  :)

..but wolves, this season, with our ex lad Conor Coady doing well, may well be a hard nut to crack having obtained results against chelski & citeh this season..

MEdia (SpL edited CRS)

A chance for the REdS to go four points clear on Friday night and guarantee they'll be top on Christmas Day.
Eight of the last 11 Christmas Day table toppers have gone on to win the Premier League and the last four have all become champions - although the last team to fail from that position was Liverpool themselves, in 2013/14.
Being Christmas wins you nothing, but it would still be music to Kopites' ears but before they can enjoy their turkey they have Liverpool have to deal with a wolves side who've won three on the spin after a win over Chelsea seemed to turn things around for them.Scoring twice in each of those wins was also a sign of their up-turn as scoring goals has been a real problem for them this season and threatened to undermine all their aesthetically pleasing possession football.
It'll be another good test for  unbeaten Liverpool, but backing against the REdS has not proved profitable this season and if wolves lay football then that could play right into Liverpool hands. wolves undoubtedly raise their game against the 'bigger' sides, this has all the hallmarks of what has now become a trademark Liverpool performance of standing firm at the back and striking through the likes of Salah and Mane.
Four times the REdS have won without conceding on the road in the Premier League this season against teams similar looking to wolves, who do look dangerous but Liverpool have been looking strong at the back and they can hold out for another clean sheet. Mane has looked most dangerous (if he exerts himself)  and although only two of his eight goals have come away from home he could have bagged double that...

Opta facts

  • Wolves have won just one of their eight Premier League meetings with Liverpool (D2 L5), winning 1-0 in December 2010 at Anfield under Mick McCarthy.
  • Liverpool are unbeaten in each of their last five away trips against Wolves (W2 D3), keeping a clean sheet in each of the last three.
  • Wolves won their last competitive match against Liverpool in January 2017 in the FA Cup fourth round – they haven’t won consecutive games against the Reds since November 1980.
  • Wolves have lost their last 11 top-flight games played on a Friday, including both such matches in the Premier League. Their last such win came in April 1965 vs Sunderland – since then P12 W0 D1 L11 F5 A26.
  • This will be Wolves’ 10th Premier League game against sides starting the day top of the table (W2 D1 L6). Their most recent win in such a match ended the longest ongoing unbeaten run that season (Man Utd in 2010-11).
  • If Liverpool win this game, they are guaranteed to be top of the table on Christmas Day. Each of the last four sides to top the table on Christmas Day have gone on to win the title, though Liverpool themselves were the last side to fail to do so in 2013-14.
  • Liverpool are unbeaten in 18 Premier League games – their longest ever run in the competition, and longest run in the top-flight since November 1990 (23 games).
  • Wolves are looking to win four consecutive top-flight games for the first time since January 1972.
  • Wolves will be the 27th different side  Jurgen Klopp has faced in the Premier League – he’s beaten all previous 26 sides so far.
  • Mo Salah has been directly involved in 10 goals in eight Premier League appearances against newly-promoted teams for the Reds (5 goals, 5 assists). he has scored in each of his last five Premier League appearances against newly-promoted teams.

CRS notes

This game worries me...more than Man Utd game
yes agreed (Simon Hobrow )... really need to convert chances into goals and avoid talking too much about our top position, just get t

he 3 points and REdS need to compete for the ball - cant afford to let wolves get a hold on the game.. ...sense complacency in many Lfc fans heads..      Clyne did well sunday, mancs tried to target that side as they did with Trent last season.. Trent has more in his locker going forward but could learn from Clyne a bit on his defensive play, Robbo on the left has been outstanding .. also Gini is important , he retains possession , rarely loses it and is getting better & better , if fit & fresh i would select him every game in midfield ..

  • ... looking at the last 2 home games a massive 50 attempts on goal demands more goals, if the lads convert the build up in the final third someone is goign to get a battering soon...but whatever 3 points will be appreciated on fiday ay wolves who have surprised citeh and chelski this season.. take care to play the best , having had 5 days to prepare there can be no excuses..

  • and this flashback to 1968 teen Alun Evans playing for wolves just before signing for Lfc .. and Hately signed FROM chelsea for a MASSIVE 100,000 pounds :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=751hoCwmdXs (link)

we mentioned on the programme last night (monday 17th dec)  that in the last league game of 1976
    season

... wolves had to win, to stay in the top division (pre SLY premiere league of course ) and we had to win, to take the title again (Bob's first after taking over from mentor Shanks) ... i was working in London, and travelled with the london - wolves fan club train to Molineux ..  there was an extra 10,000 at the game , mostly extra from Liverpool, and aprt of the fence came down,  we were standing in between terraces, on the steps and even sitting on the surrounding area of the pitch..

When I got home (we won , even though losing 1-0 with about 20 mins left, Ray, Toish & Kevin, i think , got the goals... ) the place was decked out with 'congratulations"  (thanks GM) .. May was always a great month for me back then, my birthday always fell around a TIME when we won some title or cup....until 1990...
