REdNET boot room update; after battering leicester, the REdS host wolves...

The LIVERPOOL TEAM started with a "stronger" selection and Mo & co could and SHOULD have got the early goals to kill off the very hard working and clever wolves players, VAR marred the game again, but having been on the wrong end of doubtful decisions at Villa (Bobby) and man u (MANe) it went for the REdS THIS time,  so far I dont think anyone should complain, in the first half , LIVERPOOL had 8 shots on target to ONE from the away side..

wolves, however, were as good as any side that came to Anfield this yinfield this year.. and I proposed starting with Adam AND probably Milly, Shaq & Origi, .., to give much deserved rest (at least on the bench) to Hendo, Gini , Mo & MANe..

MotM was Joe,  who looked even more commanding than VVD,  who was surprisingly slightly off his game.. and who may also get "pause" sooner or later (FA cup, may not be the time, though)  some of the fannies moaned , but I thought, considering the toll of games the REdS did well to churn out the result and ANOTHER 3 points, half way of the season ONLY dropping points at OT is more than anyone could expect!

before blue mancs lose at wolves 191227

preview.....

the LIVERPOOL TEAM will need to maintain focus & commitment against wolves, up from a 3-2 win against 10 men blue mancs on , as the REdS won on thursday 0-4 at leicester...

VVD , Mo & MANe, looked a bit tired at leicester , but most of the TEAM looked sharp, and could have won 0-8 away.. but 1 well taken goals from Bobby (2, header & excellent control & shot into the roof of the net, both assisted by Trent)  a Pen taken by Milly and then Trent himself finished off the home side after a rapid move ...set up from a MANe pass...https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/liverpool-hero-explains-how-trent-21176818

barring new injuries , a proposal:

                                 AB
                        Joe         VVD
Trent                       Lallana, (*for Hendo?)       Robbo
                            Milly             Naby
                                      "the Firm"
                                                        Shaq (for MANE)
          Origi  (for Mo)?

Div selected to rest Mo , who looked a bit jaded ..with proposed Shaq for MANe , Milly to rest Gini,

Adam for Hendo who took aknock, amazing how each of the FAB 3 have had their scoring Phase,  imagine what might happen if all 3 clicked 100% at the same time?

start with Origi on the shoulders of the opponents defence

Mo in tussle with Scouser Connor...

reflections... I have the match prog, from when Akun & co won 0-6 at Molineux ... sign him from them and it was weird seeing my boyhood hero Emlyn playing for the others,,,any others,, thank goodness Shanks wasnt there by then to see it... it hurt,, but no this team is NOT better than my heroes of the 60's & 70's .. who were a diffrent league, because they were in a different league in 77 when we won the first of big ears, the 10th league title and lucky man u took the ffa cup final Crazy horse played about 70 games , much of them in mud..  so calm down, this TEAM is the best of this era.. decade of EPL,.. they havent won it....yet, but probably will,

mainscreamedia " JK insists that he and his players are not even mentioning the lead or having one hand on the trophy already. "The only thing that changes in the question is that the number is differen "It was 10, 11, now 13. But we actually don't feel it, we don't think it and we didn't mention it once before the game because it's just not interesting. We all know that.
"I can write the stories by myself. The first story is that never before in the history of British football has a team had a bigger lead and lost the lead. That sounds, in my ear, negative, so why should we think about something like that?
"We are focused on the next games - Wolves, Sheffield United, Everton, Tottenham, Manchester United - the next five games. It doesn't sound like anything is decided in my ears. "We have to play all of them and we try with all we have to make sure we are ready for these games, so the number is not relevant to us." Despite a one-sided first half at the King Power Stadium, Liverpool had only Bobby's header to show for their dominance, but three goals in eight second-half minutes underlined their superiority against a second-placed Foxes side they made look second rate.
Milly's penalty was followed by Firmino's second of the night, and his fourth in three games following his goals in the Club World Cup, with Trent Alexander-Arnold wrapping up the victory with the goal his exceptional performance deserved. On whether Liverpool have played better this season, Klopp added: "Oh yes, I would say so" "We played an exceptional game against Manchester City, a super game against Arsenal. We've played good games this season. I'm not sure it was better, just different.
"Tonight was exactly the performance we needed. We had no real problems in because the boys were 100 per cent in the game. They played a really good football game, really, really good. Completely focused."   "
