Brighton v LIVERPOOL

jk press : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OvwLZ7j9R7Y

.. Juergen mentions about preparation and the game at Brighton, I feel that a) with Klavan questionable and Matip doubtful, had Gomez been tested at Cb OR as I proposed ; in a 3 man last line of Joe, (one of Dejan.Matip,Klavan) & Milly it could have eased the PUBLIC pressure on Lfc players .. mind you when a brighton player discusses Lfc's "weaknesses" I would show that to my players and ask pre-selection "who of you wants to prove the C*nt wrong?"  b) surely JK's "ubootroom" should provide more involement , as Klopp tends to follow the game, Buvac & co need to take more responsibility for alerting JK to tactical possibilities, they have so many on the staff, what the feck do they do>>> ??? during game time? or does JK not WANT their opinion/advices?? ... I dont want to see or hear another "excuse" .... sort it out!

Brighton v Liverpool (1500)

If you are one of the faithful who spends their hard-earned following Liverpool you certainly can’t complain when it comes to entertainment value.
Jurgen Klopp might still be trying to figure out a solution to why a team that possesses arguably the most gifted attacking options in the country is not hot on the heels of Manchester City but the journey is a thrilling one.
The beauty watching Liverpool is the potential for them to blow anyone out of the water with consummate ease whilst teetering on the precipice of hitting the self-destruct button.
Stoke were eventually left trampled under the offensive stampede in midweek but in a parallel universe they could have been in trouble if Simon Mignolet had not avoided a clear red card for a rash challenge on the edge of his area.
They are odds-on for three more points on the south coast and you just know how this is going to play out as Chris Hughton's well-drilled outfit digs in on the edge of their own area in an attempt to suffocate Mo Salah, Sadio Mane and company.
That plan almost worked at Old Trafford but for Ashley Young’s shot looping over the head of Mathew Ryan via Lewis Dunk and a clean sheet since at an improving Crystal Palace suggests they won’t be overrun at home.
It will be imperative Brighton don’t get behind early if are to have any chance so support one of the most disciplined sides in the section marshalled at the back by the outstanding Dunk and Shane Duffy to still be very much in the picture at the interval "  (S.life)

Before anything else... a word for those fans who claimed Masch " betrayed " Lfc,  the club was (and still is) controlled by the wrong people, and then "Woy" was chosen over Rafa, who had "found" Javier , playing for wham reserves! ... just like you wouldnt have know who Alonso, Mo. Sissoko ; Torres or Garcia (or perhaps Phil. C?) if it hadnt have been for Rafas work...!  http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/javier-mascherano-stage-barcelona-ending-13976938

report mohamed-salah-comes-off-the-bench-to-spark-liverpoolheres-how-jurgen-klopps-men-rated-at-stoke-

stoke 0 Lfc 3
CS> .....a bit of luck & favourable refereeing, (for a change!) ..Gomez possibly keeping the ball in play and a neat flick by debut boy Solanke (who i recent saying hadnt had enough game time)  and a smart finish by Mane, who then made the chance an hour later for Salah, off the bench to volley confidently to make it 0-2 ,,, Salah also got on the end of a long punt forward by Can and his speed caught out stoke, and finished well by Mo , to make it 0-3 , stoke claimed also that :capt: Mignolet should have got sent off for a wild tackle on Diouf (maybe Carra had told him it was El Hadj? ) ;)

Lfc go to Brighton saturday, and more of the same performance will help fans forget the points thown away in seville and v the rent blues...

some fans STILL handing the league title to citeh (we are , still , today , as I writ, )  in November????  ... with 24 games to play & 72 points to be won or lost ....knowing that teams have fallen down many times after , " unbeatable" early performances... the fans should know better, ask me in 3 months time, and I will be inclined to tell you who is still in with a chance..

what SHAPE are we in in?

pre-stoke

REdNet Bootroom...

in case you missed ; 2017/11/natural-leader-and-rednet-bootroom-week  as we are testing re-launch of REdNET/Montv channel, we are in "weekly mode" but like the Lfc team, its all got a bit "serious"  ...

so should we lighten it up,  ???
with Lfc jokes... like "why wouldnt JK walk your dog?"  ;  because he cant hold on to a lead?   .... or ..why isnt Klopp a U-boat builder?   ;  because he don't like making subs?

Lfc 1 (Salah)   chelski 1 (fluky a&&hole)

There is a case made ( and made also by JK in his reaction to the scum media) that Lfc getting a point at Sevilla, (remaining top of the group) and just failing to beat the current "champs" is acceptable ... health issues may be that he is rattled by their questions, often obviously ridiculous headline hunting , during this match press conference asked (again) about Can's contract or if Studge will be loaned out... yeah I was surprised he got a start, but more worried when he got hauled off at 1-0 when I fel he was doing reasonably well against a 9 man rent boys defence,,,

TACTICAL-Selections v Science staff

Some locals bigged up chelski, but really ?  Conte backed by a billionaires money just said, pre-match , something like ; "ok , we defend at Anfield ,  give the ball to Hazard & we could steal 3 points...?"

Its claimed that the backroom staff & their in depth analysis persuaded JK to leave Firmino & Mane on the bench.. Firm. has played a lot of games this season,..

can those "techies" calculate the Adrenalin that flows through someone like the emotional Mane, who came back from fitness earlier than JK predicted ...and who was "hungry" to play ...?

ok take the risk>??  however, IMO, Lalla & Mane,   both hungry COULD have made a difference against a supposed "tired from travel" southern softies? THIS is where titles are won & lost...

Brendan & Juergen were chosen by USA corp (henry * & co ) as typical media front men, popular and "young" coaches... both showed their sideline excitement during goal celebrations to feed the fans "PR" ...

Whereas I always impressed how professional Rafa was during high pressure games, winning or losing, refusing celebrations or desappointment to analyse,  you could almost see the thoght patterns " how will opponents react?"  what should our players do, I smiled at him , often shouting at players; with instructions; during their goal celebrations...

part of modern society is to ANALyse too much?

SUBS

Well, for the umpteenth time,  TOO LATE..

JK CANNOT justify blaming the Ref,  20 minutes between the goal and the chelski (fluky, yet predictable) equalizer!  enough time,,TO MAKE CORRECT tactical decisions... he has a fecking army of advisors , assistants , (not least Jelijko Buvac?)

Instead of the first pumping and discussions with refs (a la fergie) there could be constant exchanges with his staff, "what if"  "when should we?"...etc etc

and whatever the actual gripe Mane had with JK at the end of this game, and committed pro SHOULD be p*ssed off at having a few minutes to impact a game of this magnitude, a victory here (as on Tuesday) has a major impact... on the team, players , on support and on psychological advantages over future opponents..

Players...

Lfc Tv made some "funny" test of Ox, Solanke & Robertson to see if their disguises kept them incognito during a visit to Lfc megastore... Robbie Fowler participating in a "scouse exercise" ....  well at least 2 of these shouldnt need disguises as Lfc fans hardly ever see them

Yes, I understand how JK wants to "protect his boys"  ..giving moreNO another chance, is pushing it, and IMO, wrong, as the lad has had enough chances...  still a one footed, and often clumsy player, as a pro, is bigged up by JK/Lfc tv/echo when other players are castigated...

JK rightly punished Sakho, didnt punish Phil, ... Brendan had his favourites,, (such as the welsh wizard , i called the hobbit!) ...Robertson must wonder who Alberto has to kill before he is dropped? I proposed that IF klopp is committed (?_ ) to playing moreNO, then push him up the wing, and play Milly in a back 3 of Gomez , (and one from 3; Matip, Lovren or Klaven)  but keep the unit consistent 3 ...

play Trent &/or Moreno as occasional wing-backs , because neither look like "natural defenders" to me..

stop rotating goalies now, because the next round is against teams where every mistake is punished,  difficult to blame Mign. for the goal yesterday, and apart from that he made a couple of good saves, dealt with crosses & distributed quicker... I would have given Ward time,  but now , another change is inadvisable....

With Lalla fit, and many games to play , I would have Hendo OR Grujic with Wijn, in front of the defence...

Can on Bench

the "attacking/midfield"  ;  Lalla ; Mane, Firm (Studge replacing when appropriate) & Salah almost always on the shoulders of the opposing defence .  wide in space ...

Phil would be rested  half the games because he does not seem to be able to play his best through a busy period...

Ox on bench , occasionally replacing Salah

1st TEaM @ Stoke? (my choice)

             Mign.
Gomez Lovren Milly
       Hendo Wijn.
Mane    Lalla       Phil ( or,,,,?)
                   Firm
                            Salah

how I miss...

  8. excellent comment Al, (even if you excluded Tommy's "Mate" (Emlyn) from the LFC pantheon of true greats. more relevant than the article was his role as centre back helped transform Lfc from a "Brit team" to a european giant.. which team was it that tried to "mark" Smithy in the Lfc defence becuse he had a 10 on his back?

best wishes go out to all of the 64-66 lads still around , true champions, and the essence of a TEAM, before the game was sold out..to commerce! https://www.theanfieldwrap.com/2017/11/tommy-smith-the-lad-from-liverpool-who-became-shanks-man-and-the-anfield-iron/

the writer paints some pretty pictures, I like Juergen too, not like you do, because I lived in the region he comes from during a period of over 10 years.. he is unusual, however, its a different league, and he is an employee of USAcorp.. i could never back anyone that fits their policies... much as his left wing beliefs suit me, he is still their man, and wont say anything against Henry & co... his methods work in german football , often because local or foreign players get schooled into "method" early...
here he has bigger pressures , game after game, and I feel he needs more from his staff, dont want to hear him blaming the ref for a late substitution... players entering that late tend to disrupt more than create...he had 20 mins between goals and a defensive structure (withdrawing Studge for Wijn.) only gave initiative for Conte to be braver than the home side... which actually contradicts "Gung ho Juergen" ...

the people who employ JK, fired Kenny. (in the season Lfc won a trophy) that alone is enough reason to never trust them

I will always support the Team, but everyone off the field including the modern plastic Kopites are not in my heart ...

I am a blatant fan of another clubs Manager too.... Rafa!
with hope .... some day we are the club, again

no Amy, its not a matter of whether their intentions are good or bad its quastion of leadership, and small men! ha ha arguably the most memorable , for whatever reason, were small, the argument against your “Taller than average”claim is that “smaller men also try harder” … the small room example has no weight, as the “remainder: may just do something out of desperation, and probably wrong.. as the majority of men are NOT “natural leaders” … in fact its proven by Lfc team at wham, or in many recent games ; A LACK of leadership, and a lack of a true “captaoin> a “natural leader”, surely?

if I have to play the “natural leader” ace card,..it must be Shanks, from a “poor social background” no “alpha DNA” ? took hold of several clubs and made Liverpool .into a global icon,. and identified other would – be leaders, not least Emlyn (the only Brit ever to lift the european champions trophy twice!) when he was still a teenager..

i dont agree, if Mane is tired , putting him on with only 6 mins left is pointless... Jk is wroong, oops, yes I dared say so... Lfc 1 (Salah) chelski 1 (a&&hole)

after waiting a couple of hours, resisting knee jerk reactions, I am convinced , after considering several games when we needed the right tactics at a vital moment JK & co(staff_) are not (yet) champion material

I cant understand why Mane was left out... he and Salah could have stretched the rent blues

I have criticised players, but i am convinced the problem is coaching and tatics, I dont think improved defenders will make much difference, despite Lfc LB leaving large areas on the left flank for chelksi to exploit in 2nd half..

Lfc started well and despite chelski looking slick after a while, the Reds deserved the lead for pressure,,, bur,,,,

vital time at 1-0, THAT WAS WHEN POSITIVE subs should have been made,,,

at the end, Mane was rightly mad, waiting until 6 mins to go & expect him or Lalla to have an effect, ???

sadly JK too often too late with subs, .taking Studge off & replacing with midfielder Wijn, just invited chelski to attack, & eventually Lfc cracked, even a child could see it, surely?

Yes fundamentally Henry & co are the wrong people for this clubs football progress , on the field , , JK is their employee, and I will no longer resist in exposing naive tactics by him or anyone ... he has made a "system" and he isn't getting any luck, but he isn't making luck either...

    Replying to @The_FSF @ProudandPalace and

@RedAlieNeT all contenders, neat, nice, "politically correct" and ineffective outside their own sphere... you would never support anyone/group who contends with the FA, UEFA or Fifa, cowards! #TRUEfootballdares #AeFanEuroLiga

...A n INVITATION to JOIN all Reds & Lfc SUPPORTER groups on social media who want progressive improvement in "our club"

slogan "we are the club" (still!)

Initiative to honour Shanks & bring our dream & hope into one ..Campaign..

I am anti-Henry & co & his billionaire backers , whilst I am not a kloppite, I LIKE JUERGEN, he has good qualities as a coach, he is an employee of theirs, as such is restricted.

we could spend all our time repeating the things we know are wrong @ Lfc..

REdNET is a small publishing group with its own agenda, I/we do not intend to lead you..however.... we wish to recall the words of Shanks and his version of INTELLIGENT socialism...

*we will NOT buy Lfc products, not pay the high price for tickets..

*WE ASK you & your members NOT to "insult" players , or use foul language about the team, IF we are to have a better club, then JUSTIFY your claim as a future member/supporting sharholder of the future LIVERPOOL club by dignity and positivity, a la Shanks...

*CONSTRUCTIVE criticism of players, friendly debate of formations and your own player preferences, like or dislike...is , of course, your freedom of speech...

*SUPPORT whoever selected to wear the Red shirt...

*Defend the club against its rivals (but not their "USAcorp" boardroom)

*WATCH & support grass roots/youth footy where you live! please, when possible.

and CONSIDER what structure you would like to see in the management on/off the field at "our club" ; because,,,,,

    you.....and WE ARE THE CLUB*

    sincerely
    ChriS SMITH

*there are over 30 million of us on the net, lets show "them" we mean to APPLY our people power take it back from the "infestors"....?

"Great credit has to go to the coaching staff and especially Klopp, who has often been pigeonholed as only having one way of thinking, he’s had the courage to change the system and formation and has proven to have more than one string to his bow, and you can only pity the opposition analysts when trying second guess what and how Liverpool are going to line up when they roll into town."

hmmm, they took a while to get a reaction to what has been said since more than a while...
and the "elephant in the room" .. is the risk of rotating (and @ brighton He HAD to , because of injuries & sickness) defence which IMO should only be changed due to form/injury...!

and would be a pity, after seemingly getting his fitness sorted, if Studge is out the door ( "rumours") and another club gets his "best"...
If Lfc are to challemge for honours, all quality players should be kept (including Grujic, who I believe is under-rated @ Lfc! ... in spite of JKs comments...
