Its Hoped & expected for LIVERPOOL to have VVD back fit,   I propose its unlikely that JK will make drastic changes but maybe Bring Fab back and rest Hendo , so I propose (as I doubt if Joe is ready to partner VVD)   ;

                                                   AB
                                Matip                     VVD
Trent                                         FAB                                  Robbo
                                       Gini                           Milly
                                               "the Firm "
                                                                    Mane
                                    Mo

Media SpLfe   edited by CRS   ......             no picnic for Liverpool ....

soton have, though, lost to manciteh FRAUDS on home turf and they welcome the other title-chasing side in Liverpool to the south coast for Friday Night Football...
PREVIEW ;  .
LIVERPOOL wobbled slightly at the end of January with four draws in six , but three wins on the bounce have kept them in with a shout of winning their first league title since 1990 With two Champions League quarter-final legs to play in April as well as the league run-in, it will not be easy but JK will, as the old cliche goes, want to take it game-by-game.
manciteh FRAUDS  returned to the top with a comfortable win over Cardiff on Wednesday. With the Citizens not playing in the league again until April 14, this match is a good chance for the Reds to claim top spot for at least another nine days.

As it stands at the top..
  • Man City P32 W26 D2 L4 GD+62 Pts80
  • Liverpool P32 W24 D7 L1 GD+53 Pts79

this could be quite the entertainer. The hosts have picked up good results on home turf against top sides . Hasenhuttl has proved to be tactically astute with well organised displays from soton under his tutelage and there could be fine margins in this one.
LIVERPOOL will need 200% effort & to take any chances that may come , in order to take THREE points back to LIVERPOOL   Opta stats

  • soton are winless in their last five Premier League meetings with Liverpool (D2 L3), failing to score each time.
  • Liverpool have won their last three Premier League games against soton –
  • sotton have won five of their 10 Premier League games against Liverpool at St Mary’s –
  • This will be soton’s first top-flight home game on a Friday since December 1991 (1-1 vs Notts County) with all five of their such games in the Premier League coming away from home (W1 D2 L2).
  • Liverpool have won five of their last six Premier League games on a Friday (D1) since a 2-4 loss at Arsenal in April 2004.
  • Liverpool have conceded just nine goals in 16 away league games this season, the joint-fewest along with Man City. In fact, they’ve shipped more than once on one occasion on the road this season, in what was their only league defeat so far in 2018-19 (1-2 vs Man City).

  • Liverpool’s Mo Salah has scored in all three of his Premier League appearances against soton, netting four goals in total.BUT hasn’t scored in any of his last eight appearances in all competitions for Liverpool – his longest run without a goal since a run of 10 games with Roma between November 2015 and January 2016.
  • Liverpool coach JK, won the only previous meeting between him and Southampton’s Ralph Hasenhüttl, with Klopp’s Borussia Dortmund beating VfR Aalen 4-1 in a German Cup match in October 2012.

LIVERPOOL 2-1 spurs

almost instant match report...

well if there is a "GOD" ..it wants LIVERPOOL to win the league,...
spurs made it tough, but in the first half I felt the REds would blow them away.. i STILL do NOT understand how it is possible for defender to hold players like in a lovers embrace at corners etc..

if Atkinson had any "balls" he would have awarded a free kick at least as Trent pumped in each one.mind u this was VVD not at his best , he shd have done better with the chances he had, so shoulkd MO but Salah and Mane , despite missing 3 or 4 chances between them that they "normally" put away.. put in a shift, that being said, I was screaming at Sadio to cover Robbo when the ball sailed out to trip for the equalizer//

I wont apologise for the words i shouted at the TV screen when Mos assist got push over the line for 2-1 ... and immediately reflected on Divvys goal v blues ..///.. next friday LIVERPOOL could win at soton and give the blue manciteh FRAUD klub a problem...

Matip did well, Trent and Robbo (that cross for Firms goal was sublime) vie for MotM .

. i appreciate the shift that Gini , Hendo and especially Milly put in again, but for me, it was CLEAR on 60 mins , that the team were tired..and for me an away goal was likely..even VVD hit a loose pass..!!!

so many corners again, without a goal, i really feel the ball needs to be put on the pen spot or 6 years line for VVD and Matip to run in on,..

Origi and Fab did the necessary late on but please, again, as said so many times..give suba T LEAST 25/30 MINS TO MAKE AN IMPACT.. Mane * Firm & Mo just needed a slightly better final ball ..what worried the most was AB in goal who seemed far from his normal calm self, and Robbo saved a goal , when he pallmed a shot into the area..

its hard to criticize after that..but my blame lies with those in the stadium as the tv cameras panned around the "rest" of the stadium to the static "fans" of Lfc staring at the game liek spectators at theatre .. instead of roaring the team to victory.. LIVERPOOL won and push the challenge on, despite JK 's tactics .. oh and Mr. TV camerman, u wasted at least 5 minutes of game time showing us the touchine coahes... i dont care, I watch the game, not them..

by the way, some Lfc fan group moderator on social media , said manc bluesh&te have a better & bigger squad than LIVERPOOL, ..a) they have the same NUMBER of players and b) look at the bench yesterday, no Studge, but very strong, ONLY at the end of the season can anyone say who has the BEST squad..

a word for spurs, although the REdS missed the bigger chances (Mane x 2?) they gave a game, and may well cause the manciteh FRAUD club some problems (european quarters & a league game in between)  and .. we just have to FOCUS on each game..

  1. Liverpool 2-1 Tottenham - Opta stats

Liverpool extended their unbeaten home league run to 37 games (W27 D10) – the joint-second longest such streak in Premier League history (level with Manchester City), behind only Chelsea’s 86-match run between 2004-2008.
Liverpool’s total of 79 points is their best ever tally after 32 matches of a top-flight season (adjusting to three points for a win), surpassing the 76 they had in 1987-88.
Tottenham have now lost 17 of their 27 Premier League visits to Anfield (W2 D8); only at Old Trafford (21) have they lost more away games in the competition.
Liverpool have scored three winning goals in the 90th minute or later in the Premier League this season, their second-most in a single campaign after 2008-09 (four).
Tottenham’s Toby Alderweireld is the first player to score a match-winning own goal in the 90th minute or later of a Premier League game since Troy Deeney for Watford against Manchester United in November 2015.
This was Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino’s 150th defeat as a manager in all competitions, seven of which have been to Liverpool. Only against Chelsea (nine) has he suffered more defeats.
Liverpool’s Roberto Firmino has scored seven goals in his last six Premier League games at Anfield, as many as his previous 25 beforehand.
Andy Robertson has nine assists for Liverpool in the Premier League this season; Andy Hinchliffe (1994-95) and Leighton Baines (2010-11) are the only defenders to have had more in a single campaign (both 11).
Spurs midfielder Christian Eriksen is just the second player to assist 10 or more Premier League goals in four successive seasons, after David Beckham for Man Utd between 1997-98 to 2000-01.
next friday at soton... WE GO again! \

(not Juergen...pse SACK J. W....r HENRY)

...  of course some of the mis-guided & ill-informed :fans: will claim that Henry./Lfc-f s g .. are to be congratulated IF Lfc win the title.. BUT USAcorp (my name for the boardroom sharks) took over in 2007, Henry & his BILLIONaire backers took ("stole" ?) the business of Lfc almost a decade ago,

NO Major trophies since 2006 ... the sharks just build up their assets and sold best players, and failed to retain Stevie too..  added USA sponsors,  the main sponsor is a discredited bank,
who all profit from the Lfc customers worldwide, increased ticket prices, more corporate seats at Anfield, less core supporters .. only this last year (2018) have they SPENT inline with having a TITLE challenging team..

IF Henry was a football Manager he would be sacked -
THEY sacked KENNY after his first full season..!!!
