the LIVERPOOL team got sucked into too many hopeful long balls, derby games are usually tough, but when we have the better players we have to move the ball with passing  more effectively  and keep  the intelligence against the "smaller club" :)  .. sadly the hype around these modern derbies is more hateful than clever,  ..but thats society in general.. with too much exaggeration..
