(edited SLnews) "  Pochettino will no doubt send his Spurs side out with a flea in their ears after that Watford defeat, coming on the back of a superb victory at Old Trafford it really could be a momentum killer for his squad, especially if they lose again on Saturday.

A Saturday lunchtime after an international break is never an ideal kick-off time, but there should be two fired-up sides at Wembley as Jurgen Klopp will remember Liverpool's calamitous 4-1 thrashing at this ground last season and will not want a repeat of that outing.

Liverpool seem a different animal these days though with VVD & Joe Gomez 
really shoring up that backline and Alisson, despite his howler at Leicester, looking a far more stable presence in goal, so they should offer more resistance this time around.

Everyone’s well aware that Liverpool have not been at their best yet this season but they’ll need to find something more to get a result from a Spurs side that only lost twice at home in the league last season.

A draw would probably do both sides, but on what we've seen so far this term then Liverpool have enough to go and get what could be a real statement victory for their title chances.

,,.... there seems a new steel right through this Liverpool side, especially in their pace and energy in midfield which could really trouble Spurs, and there's also more firepower up front for them to get what would be a cracking result for them.

the top scorer is Sadio Mane after scoring four in four so far in the Premier League. ...however, after watching Watford trouble Spurs in the air and seeing Liverpool looking dangerous from set pieces, VVD may also get a chance

Both of these teams can start fast so a first half goal is almost a certainty, but with the game on the line and some legs tiring after the international break there's every reason to suggest a second half strike as well. Salah has missed plenty of chances this season, but he is still getting the chances and should put one away at Wembley.

for me the disgrace is having these ridiculous national team games in midweek - leaving , for example JK only today (friday) to prepare with all of the squad.


havent watched no footy, since last tuesday, when I saw the repeat of the game (leicester v LIVERPOOL)..  get bored with them, worry about the pointless risk of players so soon after season starts.. now UEFA, who want to milk everyones wallet, invent 'NATIONS LEAGUE" in an attempt to bolster up the declining interest in national teams footy compares with the glamour of CHAMPIONS league football.. its more BS, from the usual suspects .. same old situation the WORST people are in the most IMPORTANT jobs.. Brazil play on WEDNESDAY at home, meaning Lfc players wont be training before friday.. IMO that hands a chance to perhaps Shaq or Studge on saturday

...If Juergen needs to motivate the players at wembley on saturday , surely all he has to do is to show them the 2 games against the north london side from last season 4-1 was (IMO) the worst with 11 players , and the 2-2 was theft aided & abetted by the ref after Mo had scored an injury time "winner" so that K..nt Kane could add another pen to his total.. 

some "fans" also need to ask themselves about "YNWA" when they left the stand early in London.. never happened in my day...  

of course a major worry is the worries of our lads playing for their national teams and the effect that has on JKs detailed preparation ..its also possible that spurs have more probelms getting all their players back in time to prepare for what could be a very entertaining match..

hopefully the REDS bring home the 3 points and keep momentum going..strong..

I am not concerned ...... however, this is the firest time, since Rafa was pushed out that there is a "strong" feeling not just "wishful" ..that Lfc could life a major trophy, yes EVEN THE LEAGUE, this season..

4 games in and maximum points keeps LIVERPOOL just a nose ahead of the chelski rent boys, by GD,

2 CONVINCING wins v wham & at palace, and two less than convincing victories over brighton and at leicestor, but of course we are happy,, especially when we see "Maureens mancs"  off form (mind you they started last year badly and came back to grab 2nd place..so watch out cocky smirking over moaning Maureen..

I have enjoyed the "full throttle" methods of Juergen, because WHEN all the players are in tune with it, it blows away even the best teams, and we are all convinced that "big ears" number 6 would have competent GK, and our bench had Phil or similar ...

JK doesnt take the criticism of "no final winners" as well as  he seems to, but even maureen has a point , that JK should be pressed ...but IMO more IMPORTANT is that JK should press his employers... and not just expect it all to "come good" ( JK loves that "its all good" comment, but it isnt always good..)

No one (especially not the f s   g brigade ) complains when Lfc are winning game after game), and JK can rightly point to many records being broken,, much of the Lfc 30 million + global fan base are too young to compare current teams to the ones WE saw dominate europe and the english league for almost a quarter of a century...
