ChRiS: as we write ..
cardiff are still struggling to stay in the premiere, and their nasty coach (warnock) may push them to kick themselves to a result sunday,
after winning through v spurs , our rivals may look for revenge against Tottenham... but right now..
LIVERPOOL are top, 2 points above manciteh (ex quadruple) FRAUDS who play v spurs saturday
Just a note about Origi, he was more or less "sacrificed" to save "the Firm" who will be more than needed sunday at cardiff.. the REdS number 9 is a wonderful team player, and all the Fab 3 scored in europe to put the REdS through to a semi v that small team from barceona.... it must have been touvh for Divvy as the porto side really threw everything at the LIVERPOOL defence, and VVD & co will need to be 200% at cardiff and at barca as too many half-chances went begging..
its likely that Hendo will come back into it, and Naby to add more energy to midfield and fresh legs , with Dejan mysteriously sick/injured again and Matip in good form, even with Joe havign a brief run out in porto , i would tend to keep the unit with few changes,, and hopefully Mo is now back to his best after scoring so well, at soton v chelski (!) and at porto /
my starting 11 ; proposal (not prediction);
AB
Matip VVD
Trent Fab Robbo
Hendo NK
"the Firm"
Mane
Mo....
p.s. SO good see Joe nack involved ,
hoping Ox will be ready soon...
and her lips as drinky as milk
..her breasts, as smooth as a pebble..
I dream of her form , oh so vital..
but most of all, I want the Title.. ... again #19
:)

- cardiff have lost their three Premier League meetings with Liverpool, conceding 13 goals. The Bluebirds have never lost more top-flight matches in a row versus the Reds.
- A Liverpool victory would see cardiff become the sixth side the Reds will have beaten in each of their first four Premier League meetings after QPR, West Brom, Wigan, Burnley and Brighton.
- Liverpool have won each of their last nine Premier League matches against newly promoted sides, scoring 27 goals and conceding just three. The Reds have never won 10 successive such matches in the competition.
- cardiff have picked up just two points from their 22 Premier League games against the six ever-present sides in the competition (W0 D2 L20), losing their last 18 in a row against Arsenal, Chelsea, Everton, Liverpool, Man Utd and Spurs.
- No team has played more English league games on Easter Sunday than Liverpool (7), with the Reds’ only defeat on that day coming in 2008 (0-3 vs Man Utd).
- Liverpool have won their last five Premier League games, with the winning goal each time coming after half-time.
- cardiff have conceded 5+ goals in three different home league games this season – no side has ever conceded as many in more different home matches in a single Premier League campaign (Derby also 3 in 2007-08).
- cardiff’s camarasa has scored in his last two home Premier League games, as many as he had in his first 12 at the cardiff stadium in the competition.
- Mohamed Salah has scored 19 league goals this season, and could become just the third Liverpool player to score 20 in consecutive Premier League campaigns (Robbie Fowler 1994-95 and 1995-96, Luis Suarez 2012-13 and 2013-14).
- Sadio Mane has scored 10 goals in his last 12 Premier League games for Liverpool – coming into this round of matches, no player has scored more Premier League goals in 2019 than the Sadio (10, same as aguero).

poor toe 1
LIVERPOOL 4,
Mane, Mo, "the Firm" & VVD
a word for porto , they were a better side than th aggregate 6-1 says, although , once again LIVERPOOL were clinical in scoring at their stadium 05 last sseason and 1-4 this...
despite the failure of the "system" to PUNISH the murderers of the 96 ... I impatiently , but with tolerance watched, the local basket (netball) team win against Red Star...Belgrade...delay the start of the game on the "sports bar" tv ...
then LIVERPOOL soaked up all that porto could offer , I think AB had more of the ball than the LIVERPOOL forwards ..in the first half, Sadio being sharp enough to stuck away the ONLY chance the REdS created..
it really nice to tell all the "stats people" and kiddies obsessed with OPTA etc, sh&te , that despite not having possession, or the most shots etc etc , or distance run, etc..
LIVERPOOL "stats" ,
...as in goals SCORED is the ONLY thing that really matters in any game of footy..
Mo slotted home the 2nd past Casillas ...and that was nice before Form & VVD wrapped it up as porto kept charging forward , leaving holes for the REdS to exploit..
LIVERPOOL had a problem tp keep the ball in the first half , but all got sorted in the 2nd..
..mind you the pitch looked like a garden patch..wet and not the easiest surface for slick LIVERPOOL passing,... but the TEAM were rarely in trouble despite the endeavours of the porto players,..

yeah; defeats, injuries and when woy was at Lfc ... and that so many fan nies and fing ES gee clones dont get it that whatever this season brings, it will be down to the SUPPORT, TEAM players & Juergen, in spite of the "BORED room sharks" (billionaire backed, but only last season spent some of the half a billion income on making a title challenge more possible)

As excitement has steadily grown about the possibilities of this campaign, with the Reds beaten only once in 31 Premier League fixtures and into the Champions League quarter-finals, the manager reiterated his focus on laying foundations rather than looking to the future.
That building process is now behind them, however, and the new target is clearly stated: Klopp’s side want to capitalise fully on the ‘wonderful’ position they have put themselves in.
Liverpool 76 points
manciteh FRAUD klub 74 points
“That’s what we were always talking about – a season is like that, you constantly prepare a basis for the final weeks. We are now in the final weeks and there will be no interruption anymore, there will only be game after game after game and they all are very, very important.
“On the one side, opponents fight for the Champions League spots, and on the other they will fight [to stay in] the league.
“I think only Wolves in the last match, they are not fighting for Champions League and not fighting for staying in the league, but we all see what shape they are in – and they can go to the FA Cup final, so that’s exciting for them. But these are our opponents.
“Champions League, we don’t have to talk about that because they are all finals, each game is a final. Hopefully we can stay in that competition for a while.
“We created a wonderful base, now let’s use it.”
Klopp's update on Alexander-Arnold and Shaqiri injuries
Boss on Gomez, Oxlade-Chamberlain and Salah fitness
Preparations for the run-in, which begins when Tottenham Hotspur visit Anfield in the Premier League this Sunday, are already well under way at Melwood.
Klopp will have a full complement of fit players available from Thursday to further fine-tune the strategy to face a Spurs side the Reds defeated 2-1 at Wembley earlier in the season.
“He will not be in the afternoon training session because he has to do something else – he has to work on his endurance, that’s how it is and how the boys always have to do it, like Ox had to do it when he was finally back in training.
“After a long time, I think Joe was out for 15 weeks, that is long, so he needs to now create the basis again for the rest of the season.”
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, meanwhile, will continue to train on a specialist programme after picking up a muscle issue during his 40-minute appearance for Liverpool’s U23s at Derby County on March 8.
However, Klopp anticipates the midfielder will re-join his teammates in full training next week.
“I spoke to him a second ago; Ox is positive, we are all positive,” he said. “It was a little setback, it was not more, but it was a setback. That’s how it is.
“You don’t want to be overly sensitive after a period like this because they train a lot – training is always like this, it’s like stress for the body. You feel something, but you don’t want to mention everything because it [can be] DOMS [delayed onset muscle soreness].
“It was the case with him, it was a little bit more than DOMS, but not really [serious]. We are careful of course, he is working, he is doing a lot and I think will be in training in a week again. Then he will be fine.”
Kenny Dalglish: We've progressed again this season
Elsewhere, Mohamed Salah was among the players who trained at Melwood on Tuesday having been left out of Egypt’s squad for their fixtures with Niger and Nigeria.
“He always played pretty much all games, everywhere for country, for us and all that stuff, so it was really important [he could have a break],” said Klopp.
“Now he will be here, a full week to prepare for the rest of the season, so that’s cool. I spoke to him, he looked really relaxed and in a good mood. Now, let’s go.”
Liverpool have lost just one of their last 24 home Premier League games against Spurs (W15 D8 L1), a 0-2 defeat in May 2011 under Kenny Dalglish.
Spurs have won just one of their last 12 Premier League games against Liverpool (W1 D4 L7), winning 4-1 at Wembley in October 2017.
Only Man City (19) have won more points than Liverpool (13) in Premier League meetings between the ‘big six’ this season, while only Man Utd (6) have won fewer points than Tottenham in such matches (7).
Liverpool are unbeaten in their last 36 home Premier League matches. If they avoid defeat here, it will be the joint-second longest unbeaten home run in the competition’s history (Chelsea 86 2004-2008, Man City 37 2010-2012).
Liverpool have conceded six goals in their five Premier League home games in 2019, as many as they had in their previous 17 at Anfield.
Spurs are winless in their last four Premier League games (D1 L3). They last went five without a win in the same campaign back in February-March 2012 under Harry Redknapp.
Tottenham’s Harry Kane has been involved in four goals in four Premier League appearances against Liverpool at Anfield (3 goals, 1 assist).
Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino has never won against Jurgen Klopp at Anfield in four meetings in all competitions (W0 D2 L2). His only victory away against Liverpool was as Southampton manager in September 2013 when the Reds were managed by Brendan Rodgers.
No player has scored more Premier League goals in 2019 than Liverpool’s Sadio Mane (9, level with Sergio Aguero), with the Senegalese star’s nine goals coming in his last nine games.
After a run that saw him score 11 goals in 12 games in all competitions between December and February, Son Heung-min has failed to score in his last five appearances for Spurs. Indeed, each of Spurs’ last four goals in all competitions have been netted by Harry Kane.
