Phil the magical Robber ...soton 0 LFC 2 (Coutinho Raheem)

Phil is a magical Robber, but dont anyone tell YOU that we were ever in control of the ball..!

Pre Match comment...
"Team at soton...: Mignolet, Can, Skrtel, Lovren, (Sakho injured ) Hendo, Allen, Markovic, Ibe, Lallana, Coutinho, Sterling.
Bench : Ward, Johnson, Toure, Lambert, Studge, (????)  Moreno, Balotelli    Brent tinkering again, hope it dont end in tears,,, (Brents lad Joe is playing again...do the fan nies moan about BRs "rotation" ha ha ?? "

soton 0 Liverpool in the black 2  (Coutinho, Raheem)

cast in Black away kit, it was the relevant colour as we certainly , for once, were the "Bad guys" in this scenario...

Arguably on e of the worst, and luckiest performances of the team playing in black away strip

a wonder strike from Phil early in the game gave us a totally undeserved lead, against the "run of the play" which was a one way street, Soton were all over us Raheem hadly touched the ball

Soton had a poor pen appeal rightly turned down from the start,  then Joe stupidly tried to tackle with his wrong foot and Lovren scrambled it, but IMO Allen had played the man..

bit of luck for a change as too many decisions have gone against us, But, we didnt do anything much to deserve it, Phil was creative, but rarely saw the ball as Soton charged, again and again, and thanks to Skrtel we survived the pressure, whilst Can and LOvren need "heading lessons" as the Soton players constantly won the ball in the air far too close to our goal,

Marko should not have been playing on the left , if Lovren was a forced replacement for (injured?) Sakho, BR shoud not be changing the left side by also leaving out Moreno ...

Marko was eventually subbed , but he must learn to do more with the ball than push it and run, the much praised Can and Ibe were not at their best, and apart from my M.O.M ( the solid Martin ) I am struggling to think of someone who deserved credit.

Allen and Hendo were unimaginatve with hardly a decent forward pass between them. FAR too many times soton players were first and second to the ball..

we had about 3 or 4 shots all game and even Studge looked uncomfortable, as he might have done better  with the rare chances he got, Raheem scored the second.. thanks to an error by the home teams defence..

the "travelling Kop" singing the rodgers song, have a sense of humour, (as much as brents "outstanding" mantra..) and when I heard them sing "poetry in motion" ..well ...

"if this is the magical style,
of bodgers, i wouldnt walk a mile
to see them play,
and the f s g ticket prices to pay
brought up on Shanks, Bob, Joe, Kenny ,
& Rafa, he wouldnt pay a penny
⦁ for several of the imposters in our shirt,
to watch that made my  iverpool RED heart hurt,"

Brent Bodgers.. getting a soaking..thank GOODness! :)

REdNET update Supporting Steven Gerrard

Stevie comments on Balos late pen, and the "f s g
clones discuss"

IMO ....the blame lays with Brent,  (who cant control "big" players) ..(and Balo)

if Balo (however good a penalty he taker is..) takes the ball off of the (acting) Captain Hendo, its wrong,.many of the modern fans now, dont have any morals, standards, respect, and think with a 10 second reaction time..

but they dont know the relationships of the dressing room, Stevie should..  and if asked on TV will obviously be careful, so to say that at the time, says much about Balo....for the damage that can be done to such relations, is serious, I havent seen much in Balos performances to show that he cares enough for the Team, or puts the effort in, Yes, like Luis, he is a special talent..BUT Luis worked

....for the team not just for his own glory or ego.. thats the difference between good and GREAT, and Luis will be a great player , and Stevie is ... so the rest of u "experts" should "can it"  (sorry Emre!) :)   and thanks IBE, danger man, could help save this season..

and

........anyway a narrow win in europe, against the best of the Turkish league at this time)  and yet...Brenda N is far from being comfortable with this arena... I have been in Istanbul when we played Besiktas last time there (and I was on the Kop at the 8-0 too!) ...the atmosphere is incredible.. and i just hope Stevie is fit for the away leg, because we need the "management" on the field that Brents novice experience cant provide off of it,..

Southampton v Liverpool

22 Feb 2015, KO: 16:15

away to soton sunday.. http://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/latest-news/180468-pics-reds-train-for-southampton-journey. I think often we are better at away games, certainly the support is louder and sustained,  I am almost ashamed at the home league games , now the Kop is full of middle class fans, fan nies and f s g clones

p.s when I see "fantasy manager" advert with BR s photo...i think..."hmmm precisely"...

REdNET update Red Bananas through.. (without Stevie, Raheem and LUCAS!)

work on your defending Moreno,,and then dance,... ha aha !
Red Bananas through..

(without Stevie, Raheem and LUCAS!)

to the next round of the FaCUp

THe team got through (even without Stevie, Raheem, LUCAS, or IBE, ) ...BRent is taking plaudits for (teachers pet) Allen (!) and Balo ... yet the goal and a save by Mignolet were the clearest chances in the first half, had the 2nd one gone in, it would have been that much harder to get back into the game... Pardew isnt a genius, but he knew BRs method..and predictably set up to "steal it" YES we had 71 per cent possesion in the first half, but having the ball dont win games, Brent s method lacks the incisive move that cuts through defences
last season, with Stevie and co, getting passes quickly through to Luis & Studge, opposing teams got hammered.. and had Pullit s Palace and Maureen not out witted BR at the end of last season (and UEFA RIGHTLY penalised Man city with points deducted) ... Brenda N could have been the 2nd worst coach of Lfc of the last 60 years (woy is 1st)  and still lifted the trophy“Let's try everything to get Steven Gerrard to Wembley step by step,” Balotelli posted on his Instagram account.

“Yes guys! Yes Liverpool! Supporters great always, especially today. I can smile.”

A host of other Liverpool stars also gave their reaction to the victory on the social networking site.

Gerrard posted: “Last eight. Great win. Look forward to the draw for the next round. YNWA.”

Daniel Sturridge said: “What a result and great banter by my boy Alberto Moreno doing my dance. On to the next one on Thursday.”

Jordan Henderson posted: “Get in!! Great character to come back and win! On to the next round. Well done Daniel Sturridge and Ads (Adam Lallana) for the goals.”

Mamadou Sakho paid tribute to the atmosphere generated by the 3,700 Liverpool fans at Selhurst Park.
“Important qualification. Congratulations to the whole team and the supporters. It was like being an Anfield tonight.”

Balo says he wants to get Stevie to wembley, well despite his point blank range goal and free kick, hes got to do much more to convince me that he has what it fit...takes to improve the team,
and Joe...NO.... Allen would just about make the bench if Stevie, Lucas, Raheem and IBE are fit...
2 questions stand out, just HOW MANY sh&te refs do the FA have on their list?  and... why does Hendo want to look like Adolfs love childs grandson??  ..... shave it off, La!!
Thursday its Besiktas, and there wont be an 8-0 but  the REds will need to take a 2-3 goal lead to Istnabul, (* the city where miracles are made.....05!) http://chrismithlog.blogspot.com/2015/01/its-not-fa-cup-its-henry-f-up-and.html

We are  are through to the FA Cup quarter-finals after a second-half comeback steered the team  to a 1-2 win against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.
The Reds trailed at the interval to Fraizer Campbell's  strike on the quarter-hour mark.
But Studge netted a volleyed equaliser four minutes into the second half and, nine minutes later, Adam Lallana converted on the rebound when keeper Speroni failed to deal with substitute Mario Balotelli's free-kick.

http://www.sportinglife.com/football/fa-cup/news/article/222/9714853/fa-cup-fifth-round-review-saturdays-fa-cup-action

Studge> : "It was a difficult first half when they got the goal. We showed the character that we always do when we go behind, to keep fighting. In the end, we deserved to win , It's good to help the team, that's all that matters. I'm happy to be back playing and back from the injury. Every game for us is a big game and we have to concentrate on each game."

http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/fa-league-cups/crystal-palace-vs-liverpool-team-news-steven-gerrard-and-raheem-sterling-ruled-out-of-fa-cup-tie-through-injury-10046432.html

Lala s  strike sealed a significant turnaround for the Banana coloured Reds at Selhurst Park after falling behind to a Fraizer Campbell finish just a quarter-of-an-hour into the tie.

Studge had  volleyed us level in the second half, before Lallana pounced on keeper Speroni parry from Mario Balotelli's free-kick. to book a quarter-final berth in the tournament

Lala> "Regardless of who is in it, we feel we have got a good chance," . "We'll just prepare for whoever is in our way in the next round and go into the game looking to get the win."We knew we were going to have to be patient. We came here a few months ago and were in a completely different place to where we are now."We were still confident at half-time. We created a lot of chances in the first half, we just weren't ruthless enough. Mario came on for an extra presence up front."We got two reasonably early goals in the second half and dug in well at the end. We thoroughly deserve our place in the next round. It's a very difficult place, credit to the fans - the ground was bouncing before the game and especially when they got their goal. We did well to nullify them to very few chances. We're delighted we're in the next round."
Having drawn a foul at the edge
of the area,  Balos  powerful, swerving set-piece set up Lallana to capitalise.
Lala> "He hits it with a technique which is difficult for the 'keeper to collect ,I gambled that he was going to parry it and just put it in. So I was delighted."

REdNet Update...go for it (number 1 not 4....)

Liverpool 3   spurs 2
Marko, Stevie (Pen) Balo (!)

team: Mignolet, Can, Skrtel, Sakho, Ibe, Henderson, Gerrard, Moreno, Coutinho, Markovic, Sturridge bench ...Ward, Johnson, Lovren, Lambert, Lallana, Allen, Balotelli

I was thinking as the team was announced without Raheem or Lucas, that probably we would "miss" Lucas the most, and the 2 goals against sort of confirm that .

certainly spurs equalizer, could have been cut out by a typical Lucas interception before Hendo and then a slip up by Sakho (again looking a bit shaky, as in the Derby) let shitizen Kane  in..
I never really hated spurs, but they seem nastier these days , the manager may have got them playing better, but also like a 2nd class chelski cheating outfit...

an empty anfield, as quiet when "full" these days?? disgraced by fan nies
I was annoyed also at the "support" , when I was on the kop, there was NO way, that a bunch of cockneys could out sing us, (even if the predicatable tottenham chants are boring and banal)
The kop was quiet and most of the "middle class crowd" didnt do more than more than murmur until we scored and were quiet when we we drawing the game.. it was a VITAL game, yet too many of the home crowd are just on-lookers and dont deserve a seat, (seeing Henrystart on the net, touching the "This is Anfield" sign, makes me throw up when so many true supporters  are treated like shite by "Lfc" these days and many have no chance of a ticket.)

and i am fed up at the number of referee decisions that go against us, every season ...Stevie (and several other players, mostly REds) was punished twice for normal challenges, the 2nd spurs goal came a) from another wrong decision by ref Dowd against Stevie, as the spurs player just fell down going for the ball that Gerrard cleanly played, and then a similar challeng by their defender in the pen area, didnt get another (deserved) pen. b) the pass for the goal was from an offside position, even Mignolet saw that....(who again proved his shot stopping ability, but whose distribution.....well....needs improvement...)
Stevie scored another blatant pen when it was clear that Strudge was tripped..

A blue Cock ney up! ha ha/...
fan  nies amaze me , praising Brent, but for me his selections and subs dont make sense, its a fluke if they come off..

Lovren for Gerrard?? , Stevie must be going mad... & take off Studge for Balo, who again did nothing for the team, yes he scored  the "winner" , HIS first league goal (its february!!!)  my main problem is his lack of Team play.

for me, IF Brenda N wants to "rest" Stevie, then Lallana was the obvious choice (he came on to assist the 3rd goal late on..)

...Marko scored the first goal...but his "industry" often requires a better finish, if he was sharper he could have scored more.  Hendo wasnt on "full power" either..

Anyway, Balo was lethal from 1 metre, and 3  points, ..how many behind chelski????

why not go for number 1 ..not just "aim for the ceiling..you owe it to our TRUE supporters and to Stevie

REdNET "Bootroom opinion"

YOU have been "bamboozled" (managing expectations by Henry / f s g method via Ayre & Brent...)

Players..

Skrtel ( and even Stevie, sometimes ) get "conditioned" to accept a draw ..if it gets NUmber FOUR
... important meeting on Tuesday night with Tottenham Hotspur, who had moved four points ahead of Liverpool in "the top four race."....BS!

"It's massive," admitted Skrtel. "Tottenham are a few points in front of us. It's going to be a big game, now we have a few days to get ready for it.
"I believe and hope we can beat them and get three points. But every single game is important for us. We'll go game by game, try to get as many points as we can and try to finish in the top four."
http://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/latest-news/179666-skrtel-keen-to-keep-defensive-stability

Brenda N has finally got it, that Champions must have a solid (unchanged) defensive unit, BUT,    ... Losing Lucas derailed an assault on the blues..  ...sad that players are thinking that forth spot is ok, (even at the start of the season) .. because the boardroom maniuplators just think about cash profit for the USA, with  TV income and sponsorship ....is enough , they cash in..(tickets, replica kit x 3 every season, TV inclome and advance sales, "corporate hospitality" etc) .and we lose our chance of trophies... Shanks Liverpol way ("aim for the stars" ) is eroded by  the US commercial business method..make money ..and no care for society, people or community that is ruined in the process..
from the official website ("propaganda media" http://www.liverpoolfc.com/news/latest-news/179667-ibe-i-wanted-to-get-chances-to-play-here  )

Jordan IBE  explained: "I went on a run and when I shot, I thought it was going in. I was getting ready to celebrate, but it hit the post and went wide. It was quite new for me. The gaffer(!ha ha!) just told me certain things; to stay as a full-back and when we had the ball, I get back in the usual position I usually play in, playing wide and high."
<Lfctv : He will then hope to be involved when the Reds welcome Tottenham Hotspur to Anfield on Tuesday night in an important encounter for the race to reach a top four position.>
"That's a big game because we're doing well and Tottenham are doing well," said Ibe. "We'll see how it goes. It's still open for us - there are a lot of games. We have to focus on the game on Tuesday. We've got a chance to get Champions League [football] again and hopefully we do."
http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/match-reports/liverpool-fc-verdict-james-pearce-8601370

"MEDIA"

Pearce...."For Kopites, this was a night of frustration. Their unbeaten run against the Blues may have been extended to 10 games but that will be little consolation. The fact is that Everton were there for the taking. & spurned the opportunity to maintain their charge towards the Champions League spots. This was two points lost rather than one gained."

REdNET "bootroom" update Phil and (almost) Stevies Derby...match review

REdNET "bootroom" update

and match review..

Phil

and (almost)  ....Stevies Derby...

REdNeT Review

Mignolet, Can, Skrtel, Sakho, Lucas, Henderson, Gerrard, Moreno, Ibe, Coutinho, Sterling
subs Ward, Johnson, Lovren, Lambert, Sturridge, Allen, Markovic

Chris Smith-Mypod at Merseyside Derby>

Stevies free kick and overhead never brought the deserved result that all True REds wanted for OUR man...everton honoured the 96 with their memorial , shame that some of their moran fans didnt "get" that they will never see a better player grace the goodison grace than Steven Gerrard.
The blues fought for the draw, were defending, an figghting, thE REDS had tripe the goal attempts as everton, who play as a team but had no "stand out " players.. Skrtel quietened Lukaku,

the worst thing for us was LUcas, going off, not only because he MAKES the defensive unit , but because Brenda N subbed him with Joe, who brings less, much less, I doubted our chances once "teachers Pet Allen" came on, I would have prefered Lallana or Marko and dropped Stevie deeper..
The Blues fought hard, and found out Sahko who looks far tougher than he is...CAN on the hand, coped after a difficult start, and took over from Martin in taming LUkaku, the single danger of the home team,

The withdrawal of Raheem and Phil, dulled our creativity, choosing Lambert is just slightly less depressing than Balo.. I could go on about the naivity of Bodgers but...
Ibe was voted M.O.M.. he did well and a screamer hit the post which would have been a match winner, whilst Raheem failed to look up and pass, intent on shooring even from the narrow angles, ...Studge...was too deep when he came on...maybe protecting himself, or on instructions, whatever, it was a "typical merseyside derby"

I just cant accept that its Stevies last...
and mine too!
adios !

Predictions that  Philippe Coutinho Will Become Premier League's Best at Liverpool

Liverpool star Phil continues to be showered with praise for his excellent stretch of matches, and Neymar became the latest to express his admiration for the 22-year-old on Thursday, claiming that he will one day be the Premier League's best player. The Barca star believes fans and pundits are finally starting to see what his good friend can do:  "He can be the star player in England. This season I think everybody in England is seeing how talented he is—and I know he has a lot more to show. We have been good friends since we were 16. Not only is he a fantastic player, he is a good guy to have in the dressing room, always positive and making jokes."

The midfielder put in another performance for the Reds in the 2-1 FA Cup win at Bolton Wanderers on Wednesday, scoring a stunning goal to seal progression  and widely hailed as one of the Premier League's fastest rising stars. Some even believe he has the potential to emulate Barcelona legend Ronaldinho:

Hendo told Liverpool's official Twitter feed his job becomes a whole lot easier when he has guys like Coutinho and Raheem Sterling around him:

Phil is a Brazil international, who joined the Reds from Inter Milan in 2013. Coutinho has now scored three goals and handed out four assists in the Premier League and FA Cup,

Liverpool's 2014-15  squad has turned things around in the past two months, in another attempt to cover up the loss of World class Suarez. f,s,g s employee;  (Brenda N Bodgers) also believes Coutinho has the potential to replace the Uruguay international:

Its dangerous to get carried away with all the praise following Coutinho's strong run of matches, he is just 22 years old. Its hoped that the attention of opponents who want to put hinm out of the game, and the antibias of referees who have often failed to protect him from thugs of our rivals will not obstruct his progress.: heaps of potential and the promise of a bright future. (ignore the official comments of f s g cloned fan nies (  TIA )media and the LFCtv propaganda...

Stevie and THE Derby

I hope NOT for the final time in the  Premier League on Saturday,  Stevie plays his 33rd Merseyside derby -
who cleared two shots off the line on his derby debut to the captain who curled a stunning free-kick in the last meeting between the teams
"It's the fixture that I look for at the beginning of the season. & love playing against Everton. I've got friends and family members who are big Blues and it's all about the bragging rights in the city. I'll focus on [Saturday's game] exactly how I have done in the previous derbies I've played in. It's a bit different from a normal league game, but I'm looking forward to that one and hopefully I can add to my good derby record."

With 10 goals against the Blues,  two of those coming at Goodison and the remainder at Anfield, where in 2012, he became the first Red since 1935 to put three past Everton @ Anfield  , and  admits he still reflects on the game with pride.
"I'd look back on the game I scored a hat-trick  that was a great feeling after all the stick I've had over the years. But it's about the team and big derby wins. Also the FA Cup semi-final [in 2012], where we beat them at Wembley was a big one because I think there was a big confidence in the blue camp that they were going to beat us on the day and we managed to get that important win."

Only Ian Rush, with 25, has scored more goals for Liverpool against Everton , who announced himself to the Goodison faithful with a stunning, raking effort in 2001 before running the length of the Lower Bullens in celebration.
"I love the banter with Everton fans It's what it's all about. It's about rivalries and big games of football. I'm up for all that. I don't mind it at all. Bring it on as far as I'm concerned. I've got respect for all the Everton players and the Everton fans. I think they're a terrific football club, but once that whistle goes I want to beat them. That's a good problem for me."

Shanks MADE Liverpool

...although Bob is on record for winning the most trophies, he would have never had the chance had not Shanks, established the mentality, method, foundations and SPIRIT that Paisley built his team selections upon...
Keep it simple, in these days when there is almost more background staff than players, I suggest they ANALize TOO MUCH!
...do they really think showing players little graphs and diagrams before they go out helps,  I believe the players have instincts and THOSE should be nurtured  better to enhance the natural ability, I never played "pro" but my "best games", of footy, golf, squash or LIFE itself..in important decisions, meetings or negociation was when I trusted my spirit... my natural self...

Top players should NOT be BOMbarded with too many details.and I am sure "injuries" come from being wrapped in cotton wool..

but of course the "hype" of the media , the money the "big names" and their egos are fed like hollywood celebrities, the beautiful game is lost to the BS!..and the fan nies just swallow it too...parrot the "word" of so-called  experts and pundits, who have never managed anything much...

and spare a thought for the team then that was lost to Football when that club was respected , not any more and i fear that Lfc is going to the same commercial soul-less fate,,, as we expect respect for our 96 brothers and sisters lost in 89..
