REdNET bootroom opinion , post atleti, pre wham at Anfield ... at a fish/stadium called wanda...

  • LIVERPOOL v wham

............  moyes is likely tos et up with 8 defenders,,,

this will be a "taste" of when atletico come to Anfield ...

Hendo is probably out for next 3 weeks, so it could be a game for testing a formation that has players who will "go at" a block of 8 creating chances, free kicks or even a pen , and hopefully goals...   so, a proposal as maybe VVD also needs a freshener..  (not a prediction as this is too "radical" for Juergen..

                                          AB
                                         Joe
                                                Fab
Trent                                                               Robbo
                                        Gini
                          Ox                        Naby
                                                                 MANe
                  Mo.               Origi (CF)

to explain, Div IMO is at best at CF on the shoulders of the last defender,  Fab to cover Joe in between CB & Holding,  Gini central linking and have Ox, Naby, Mo & MANe charging at the wham defence...
  • I almost feel sorry for the w.ham players and fans who come to anfield next monday...
  • ChRiS>, if atleti & Simeone's cheats  think they have won the round already, we shall see, having said that I would echo Ronnie Moran, and never let our players wear "world champions" badges, LIVERPOOL of my generation was constantly reminded not to get "big headed" however , I wonder if maybe the concentration was there at the start, .... the REdS are angry , at themselves and at the situation...... .......
preview opinioin from "pundits"
JK pre match press
  • I said before that maybe Fab was not yet sharp enough, but...their corner/goal bounced off him,
  • 3rd kit (away) strip didnt look right either, liked the "toxic yellow or Orange.. BIG energy "look"..

  •  understand why JK started this team..   but the defence was not decisive ...  (Joe was covering VVD!) ...

  • MANE got wound up, but to sub with Origi at half - time, cost the game ? due to a risk of sending off.. as he was being provoked ..
  • hmmm then Mo off left us without many "teeth" up front,
  •  and again, the game was bigger than the ref, but, "great teams" deal with this sh&te and just maybe the REdS have a way to go to be compared with the best LIVERPOOL team of the late 70's who won 4 European champions trophies in 7 seasons and the league almost every  season,... stop using stats as "hype"

its possibly going to be tougher v atleti than v barca in the semis, Simione wont give them a visa to leave their pen area at Anfield... .. probably the right decision to take off Mane, but PLEASE play Div at CF, in front of Bobby, at wham & v everton Div was at his best scoring or causing goals.. from that position, for me JK could have played Naby down the left instead of Sadio and if he wanted to save Mo , that also gives more room for Ox to fit on the right where he is more comfortable..but game gone ... focus on the LIVERPOOL v wham game..VERY important... who UEFA select as ref, , because THEY do NOT want english based clubs to dominate the competition again...https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L19zYlji6KU

felt in recent games JK's  sub choices have improved, game was lost with the "accident" perhaps defence were not concentrated at the start, atleti were always going to destroy our rythum after that, did like them , dont like them now! cheats, REdS have room for improvement

... time & again , I have made the point that Div is best at CF, on the shoulder of their CBs , played his best there ,, (i,e, v everton?)

better to be playing Naby on the left if anyone ...
