LIVERPOOL v burnley Anfield Thurs 20 June #21
TEAM proposals..
so many idiots applying "normal" opinions to a bizarre FUBAR season of the english plastic money league, infested by VAR lunacy, and the madness of a society where global sheeple obey madness..
It will be tempting to "rest " players but have had just one (big) game in the last 2 weeks , and it seems it hasnt done key players that much good..
IN coming ?? NO!
AS much as I /we at MEd1ATEAM hate * I mean HATE USAcorp (a.k.a fen way) whose policies have POLLUTED our air, water, land, sea, food & minds of our children since 60 years... no "quick CB fix" ..
integrating a new player in that position could cause as much disruption to this squad as the stupid "precautions" have due to their BUG panic...so JOHn Hen ry can but another penthouse with the money he & his buddies make from exploiting the lockdown BS!
so JK, you & your army of backroom staff should work with the squad you have, whilst I would expect to slot in Nath or Rhys for the odd game, I would develop understanding with the current squad, with half a season to go, and make big changes in summer when knowing the sttaus of VVD & Joe, because Matip is NOT fit to be even a regular choice, better to keep FIT players with experience there (even if they are not "traditional CB's" Carra!!!)
OUR TEAM formation Proposals..
also against the tide of pundit, expert , coaching & fannies "popular opinion" there are now 7 or 8 FIT midfielders available & a LACK of CBs ...so use LOGIC!
Thiago
Gini
Ox
Milly
Shaq
Tako
Curtis
& Naby?
So whilst I probably start with : ?
Ali B
Hendo & Fab
Trent Gini Robbo
Thiago Ox?Curtis?Shaq
Tako
MANe
Mo...
BUT by 60 mins have this... ready for OT in the cup..
with Milly allowing Hendo & or Fab to go forward when possesion allows... (Milly as cover player)
as the maninSCREAMedia & fannies cant wait to dump sh&te on Lfc;
It is fair to say that Sunday’s season-defining clash (?) between Liverpool and manudid little in regards to defining the season, other than proving that, without fans in attendance, big teams are more than happy to slowly lull towards a draw against their rivals. It was the fourth supposed “big” game this season that ebbed its way towards a stalemate – – without the slightest hint of anyone, player or manager, attempting to do anything about it. It also marked the third successive game in which Liverpool have failed to score, the first time such a thing has occurred since 2005, and if they fail to register against burnley on Thursday, it will be the first time since the 1990/00 season that they have failed to score in four successive Premier League matches.
Breaking down a low block has been an issue for Liverpool this season, their recent draws against wba and newcastle, as well as a 1-0 defeat to southampton are testament to that, and it is unlikely that dyche will adopt anything other than a pragmatic approach as he takes his side to Anfield.
burnley started the season poorly, conceding three or more goals in three of their opening six matches, but they have found their defensive feet of late, conceding just four times in their last seven matches. While dyche has undoubtedly solved any problems he had within his defence, it is in attack that burnley have really struggled this campaign, the nine goals they have scored this season is the lowest return of any team in the top four leagues of English football. All the more reason then for burnley to sit back and defend.
There is reason for optimism for the clarets however, as they did manage to come away with a 1-1 draw in this fixture last season, the only team throughout the entire campaign to return from Anfield with a point, and a draw is not beyond the realms of possibility once more. There really couldn’t be a better time for burnley to play Liverpool, this match the meat in a Manchester United sandwich – Liverpool once again facing off against their bitter rivals in the FA Cup on Sunday – and dyche’s men surely have a decent chance of keeping Liverpool at bay
It is unlikely that burnley will find the net, not only do they have a woeful record in front of goal, Liverpool also boast the second-best home defensive record in the Premier League, but this feels like one of those games that Liverpool could huff and puff their way through without really getting anywhere. Liverpool will be desperate to break their scoring duck as soon as possible in this match, but forcing the issue can often have the opposite effect,
Each of burnley’s last four Premier League matches have finished 1-0, with only one of the Claret’s last seven matches seeing more than one goal. Under 1.5 goals has landed in 11 of urnley’s 17 matches this season, more than any other team, and when you factor in the poor form that Mo Salah, Bobby and Sadio Mané have been in of late, we could be in for yet another low-scoring affair.
more "stats" as the nerds dominate football discussions..

After (not) battering the mancs
...,,,its a FUBAR season, expecting our TEAM to
function "as normal" during a plastic english league, infested by VAR and the BAD karma caused by the loss of our best player ; THE 12 th man...a
month ago 0-7 at palace.. the fab 3 all scored... a month later and the fannies are dumping on them, modern kloppites are sh&te... why dont YOU, (e.g. Paul & Pejak) , have a go at Juergen???
Our Med1aTEAM , (ChRiS ..) proposed Milly not Shaq,
who culd have then released Hendo or Fab to go forward into midfield when in possession ... for the 2nd time recently he had a full week to prepare ..for a draw...at home.. the big positive is , for me, that in order to win trophies the defence must be more than sound,, and NO time for integrating a new CB, nor Matip who is surely
unreliable,,,,
with 6 or 7> midfielders fit (? Thiago, Gini, Milly, Ox,Curtis , Tako & Shaq..even playing Fab & Hendo in the twin CB role,
makes sense..and KEEP them there as a base to build on, one of my main criticisms in the past that JK changed the defensive unit far too often (50 times??) and …. Again, as so many times, subs are left too late to have a good chance of impact..
Thiago for me, didn't have the final pass in him, and
Shaq also didnt amplify his recent cameo performance.. so get the midfield right and make CLEARER chances for the Fab 3 (& DIoGO?) and the REdS will be challenging for the title, and for me, going for number 7 in Istranbul and maybe the FAcup too..
its not even half way through their league season and too many of the fen way cloned fan nies (no surprise) give up...
Almost instant match report
(with thanks from our MEd1ATEAM to ChRiS the "one armed Banned-it" ) ;)
LIVERPOOL batter mancs 0-0 ? ;)
IF our generation of Kopites were in the ground , the chant might have been "ARE YOU MAUREEN IN DISGUISE?" as white-faced Ollie coaches "bus parking" at Anfield.. (a la Jose)
a rare pic of mancs in the LIVERPOOL half, the ref was so shocked he blew early for half-time in case we scored from the manc error..
for most of the game... if it was a boxing match the REdS win on points. but it isnt ..
and footy in this particular weird season, without supporters , in the English FUBAR plastic money league, dictated to by not only by the slytv media etc but also their fascisTORY govt idiocratic rules.. where "anti social distancing" .... means an empty stadium for the first ever time in history of more than hundred years of this rivalry.. oh sheeple & fannies your FEAR is winning and humanity is losing /...but we fight on..
Juergen Klopp is looking weaker...tired... AND he admits his fen way employers goal is "champions league" football .i.e. 4th.. FOR THE MONEY!!!!!
( our main moan when Brenda N was coach)
the promise of a celebration (remember the TEAM coming home on the open top bus in #19) is empty.. .. my feeling was that a few early half chances , especially when twice our lads hustled possession near their goal.. if taken would have resulted in a battered manc side..
as it was after an hour the mancs got courage from the 0-0 status/// and our selection which had Milly instead of the unpredictable Shaq ... looked the wiser... JK threw on Origi & Curtis far too late (our regular criticism of Juergen)
ALI b made a couple of vital saves ... near the end, but the mancs tactics were akin to wba, newcatsle, fulham & soton, 10 back & hope for a break away or dead ball win... far from the stuff of champions,, I believed that anyway our best chance was a 7th in Istanbul because this league is a FUBAR lottery, and anyone of the top 8 teams could take the title , including the REdS..
Fab was ..Fab...(player of the season so far) and any pundits who think he is better in midfield , dont appreciate the role, and the "waste" when we have 2 CBs sitting back with minimum game participation... having 2 "mobile" CBs who are then trained to join the midfield alternatively, with either one of the 2 wing halves (Trent or Robbo) covering (or Gini dropping bask ...& so on ) is a way to assist against the now "new normal 10 man defence " way of blocking the REdS attack..
mind you i take us to win at OT next sunday in the emirates sponsored cup and again later in the league..
Y N W A with hope..

Trump just handed the people of Yemen a death sentence. Days before leaving office, he has blocked critical food supplies from reaching millions of people.
Away from the media's gaze, Trump designated the Houthi rebels, the de facto government where the majority of Yemen's population lives, as a terrorist group. It is now almost impossible for food importers and aid agencies to deliver urgent supplies without facing US criminal charges for doing business with terrorists.
Children are starving. The UN predicts the worst famine in 40 years, unless President-elect Joe Biden moves quickly to reverse Trump's callous act. Time is of the essence -- food importers are already walking away.
Next week the new US President will start the job with a huge to-do list. Let's issue a rallying cry calling on Biden to stop Trump's death sentence before its too late:
Stop Trump from starving millions
Yemenis are already living a nightmare. Children continue to be killed by American-made bombs (from arms sales to Saudi Arabia approved by Trump), not to mention devastating starvation and disease caused by 5 years of war.
Almost a quarter of a million people have been killed. It's utterly heartbreaking.
Millions are on the brink of famine. Yemenis depend on imports and aid for most of their food and medicine. Families are terrified that no more supplies will make it into the country. Biden has promised to end US support for the war |
