of course everyone would have been impressed if a virtual 4-2-4 line up had produced a 0-3 start but I expected BOBBY to be deeper,

Juergen 's main error, IMO was to play Diogo deeper than Bobby, ... who could have covered Hendo / intercepted passes to de Bruyne in far too much space for their goal & pen chance...

... if he had been he could have protected & supported the middle . ,,, and helped Gini & Hendo intercept balls through to KdB!

IMO; Hendo should have picked up de bruyne before his pass into jesus... for their goal.... Trent's forward play has been excellent at times, but he, also failed defensively  in both league games (*& v wham)...

DieGO left his best game in Bergamo, and I expected Bobby to play deep to help interceptions of the balls into de Bruyne,  but first half, looked more like 4-2-4

than 2-3-2-3 ... i expected ... GINI was over -worked..

was effective at alanta Tuesday.. (birthday wishes for you,  Gini lad!)

I should always follow my first instincts , which was to propose a deeper formation with Jota coming on in 2nd half..  to then add impact against a tiring defence,
