much is being made by so-called "punidits" & fan nies about Trent's injury, apparently he will likely be back in 2 weeks and thus might only miss one league game... however, we on REdNET feel it was a touch of madness by JK/Lfc-fsg to release Clyne,  an experienced player, mid-season,  he, like Phil, (an obviously bigger example, a year ago) .. with REdS challenging for a major trophy... hoping for #19  and to continue in europe, to "weaken" the squad is a negative move IMO (ChRiS)

It may be Camacho could step in, although he was good pre-season, didn't impress defensively at wolves, ..and whilst Milly can do a job there, or Matip when Joe is back...(soon I hope) seems an un-necessary risk, at least in the view of supporters, rather than the player or fsg accountants...

useless comparisons with the teams that went on to win European champions 4 times and the league almost every season 77-84.. sorry rob and boys - that team of 78/79 woudl blow away all the current teams inc citeh... but it really doesnt matter now, take every game as it comes and forget the stats... only titles matter..

Matip? Why the hell would you play Matip there when you have Milner? Milner did a fine job playing most of a season at left back he’ll be just fine filling in at right back for a few games. Gomez will be back soon too letting Clyne go was not in any way shape or form madness even if it would have been nice to have him we have plenty of options that people are overlooking

​@dundalis people? which [people? :) sure there are options , and sure Milly played at RwB at bournemouth..AND Klopp subbed Trent a couple of times, when Matip was on the bench when opponents had big men threatenign at corners late, on, calm down, because I am not proposing it, just commenting,... but,.. letting Clyne go for the sake of a few months, who is an experienced RB, is a negative decision IMO (in MY opinion) !! with 6 players sidelined this week it would have been logical to play Clyne and IMO (!) also i feel Nath. would have done a better job at Citeh when they were taregtting the right side of Lfc defence again, both of their goals (and the only time Lfc have conceded 2 in one game in the league) came down that side, Clyne has a more experienced defensive mind , whereas Trent is obviously a greater asset goign forward... there u go... :p

Shanks... applied the "sweeper keeper idea, pass and move (that barca copied)  applied 2 CBs with Tommy Smith alongside Yeats and later Emlyn with Phil and mixed "route 1 and "continental" passing possession..(the showcase for that was the 1974 final) ..also "hounding that he, Bob , Joe  perfected that Juergen calls gegen - pressing.. Bill was beyond comparison, even though stats will claim Bob as the most successful in trophy winning.. .. impressive, although i felt , especially first half there was a reluctance to take risks going forward . from defence and midfield, playing the "obvious pass" ..
the Team rarely looked in trouble from albeit a very well organised home side,
who had narrowly lost at Anfield...
i still expected a "bit more" from the front 4 of Shaq, Mane, Firm and Mo..although 
when Premiere league sides play a virtual 8 defenders its hard to see a way through,.

Fab looked ok at CB, only once or twice could be accused of be being slightly out of position..
Trent and Robbo played as wingers again..

Gini again for me, a key player, keeping  the ball , looks better and better as the season goes on

..Hendo may against get stick from those who expect a holding player to be also a play-maker

congratulations to the whole team, and yet, I want to pick out Gini, because he was "benched" in the minds of many fans, when Fab, NK & Shaq were signed.. but IMO he looks calm and as controlled an example yesterday as anyone, including VVD.. i dont recall him losing the ball or making a missed-pass.. .
